Was In Kamenka recently hiding on the roof of the firestation with my Remington waiting for an un-suspecting player to walk up the stairs.. A player with a ghillie suit fleded up the stairs from zombies, and i noticed he had a DMR, Before putting the bullet to his head i told him via direct chat "say hi to the devil for me" and put him down. I then collected the loot consisting of, 2 DMR mags, a DMR, ghillie suit, cooked meat, and a revolver. WOOT.

I would love to see a trailer, the trailer for the mod got me to buy ArmA to play dayZ and I think a new SA trailer would realy be a good investment.

Of the late, Ive noticed that some members on the forum dont have a PC and therefore feel that DayZ May Be out of reach to them. This is false for other operating systems like Mac or Linux have a variety of other programs that can create virtual machines to run PC and successfully play DayZ on. For example on Mac I run parrallels, a program that can run PC on a mac. While playing on DayZ I get minimal lag and around 60-70 FPS. Also On mac there is BootCamp, another option for playing PC on mac (and more afordable but at the expense of less features).

Hello people, I recently was playing dayZ origins, at salvation city i was snooping about when I discovered the clues to find dr.Ivan's lab! (I not going to share where and what they were so i don't spoil anything). So me and me clan of 5 got in our chopper and headed off for sabina to find out where the infection started. (Going to skip location to remove any spoilers) now we were t the entrance of the lab. We load our guns and head in, we notice an abandoned bathroom sort of testing area, with blood splattered all over the walls, then we hear shots my friend takes a bullet and goes prone, I crouch up and see a scientist with a PKP shooting right at us, with my lee enfield i Lean out and take him out, after we bandage my mate we proceed on, several more labs ensued with more scientists with PKPs, sadly we got to the final area where we saw broken test tubes where the first zombies must have came. Sadly we did not find the cure, but with a recent 1.7 update they stated a new mysterious artifacts were in a new jungle. Do not give up hope yet,

*sighs* title says it all...

EDIT: thunder dome is a hack that hackers use to TP everyon in a sort of cage where people just kill each other. Cheers! Although it was NOT FUN: lesson: HACKERS SUCK

Looks awesome, but I'd like to see a giant array of real-world diseases (the things rocket talked about where very real and awesomely interesting though).

I run dayZ on my MacBook Air, which has worse specs and it still runs smoothly, im guessing yours will work great! Good luck!

If anything adding this new idea would just slow down the stand alone, that is unless we're thinking into the far far future, I say we continue this subject when the standalone is further developed.

A few days ago my friend shared me the video from youtube, DayZ the survivors. Instantly I got hooked, not knowing a single thing about Arma or DayZ I went on steam on my Mac, opened up boot camp to run pc and bought arma 2 combined operations.. (A few hours later)... I downloaded dayZ commander and launched dayZ for the first time. I scrolled randomly through the controls and got a basic idea on how to talk and move. I logged on to a server right next to a giant city (chernarus) I turned on direct communication and heard through my mic "GET TO COVER!" I look up and see what appears to be. Nuke.. I look to my left and see in the side-chat "HACKER BLOWING UP CHERNARUS RUN!". At that point i realized it was time to skidadle, I sprinted off on a highway for about 4 minuets, then I turn back and see BOOM my screen turns all yellow fuzzy, (being the noobie I was I punched my computer a few times thinking it was broken). After a few minuetes the colors went back to normal and i trudged into the city. I notice that the buildings are destroyed and everything looks annihilated. I then see a few players in strange suits, so I walk up and say "hi" in direct communication, they turn around and scream at me "drop your weapon!" So I drop my small pistol i got when i first joined the server and crouched. They then said " ok here's how this is going to work, were going to give you trivia and if you get a question wrong, then you go bye-bye!". So I say "ok what's the first question?". They say "what game was made by mojang that's populer and blockey? " I say "minecraft" (been playing it forever ;) they say "correct". Next they ask "what city in dayZ starts with e? Being the newbie i am I have no idea and say " I don't now" then I hear them " they start laughing and calling me gay and a faggot" me being a mature 10 year old say "lol I don't care, if ur gonna kill me just do it". But what I notice behind the player thats quizzing me is that his "buddies" are flying around spawning tanks... Then they say "turn around loser" and so I turn around and see a tank and then BOOM. I then logged off dayZ sweating. I must say that was a VERY interesting first day. I hope I don't encounter more hackers so i can play more but otherwise it was awesome! I can't wait to play some more!

Im not exactly sure why, but I love running differnt OS's at the same time, parallels is a good option for Mac users, it allows you to run windows, Linux, and any other OS's all at the same time! And its the only way ive been able to play dayZ.

Day2: Re spawned next to a place called elektro this time, I went inside a firehouse and began to scavenge, I found some bloodbags, ammo, and bandages, then I hear a bullet and my vision turns grey so I duck down to take cover, I notice im losing blood fast and zombies start walking up the stairway, I kill a few of them but I hear more and more. Then I hear a car, and some assault guns go firing off. The moans stop. I turn on direct chat and ask "are you here to save me?" Then I hear footsteps coming up the tower towards me inside the fire station. I see a character then BANG im knocked out, I hear him talk in. A realy low voice "and that's why little kids shouldn't play dayZ." This sort of angers me but I know I must stay calm if im going to get back at him. So I spawn near electro again, but this time im crawling and being cautious, I find a hatchet in a building and continue to lurk around electro, then I see him. I see the same guy that had killed me, he has some player pinned down, I hear him say in direct communication "drop your weapon and come out". My first thought is to run out and try to kill him, but I stop myself, I know that I'd most likely be shot by him or he'd hear me and turn around to shoot me. So I sneak around to the point where im right behind him then.. CHOP hes dead, I relizehes only knocked out so i say to him "cheers" then land the death blow.

This would be awesome if you had recorded this in a commentary :3 play while recording from now on, it would be awesome to watch this!

@Capn In a sence considering most kids my age who call themselves "gamers" get mad easily and have the attention span of a squirl, yep im alien.
