Have you tried the 'add a game to Steam' function? All you need is a cdkey, you can add retail games and keys bought in bundles and such. It might work for you.

Meh. I'm not a native english speaker, so if you can find it in your heart to 'deal with' some amount of errors in my posts I'll be mighty pleased. Besides, there seems to be some debate as to whether or not it is a word. I'm calm enough to be slicing potatoes very thin in between posting, I think this will be sufficient. I'll be making white pizza. By the way, my issue isn't with the M4, it's with the idea that one's country should be seen as a sort of 'standard' which other places better fucking adhere to. Irregardless of which country this may be, I might add.

Once again, my problem is that you take facts from your country and apply them willy-nilly to other countries. Example: This might be true where you come from, but it not universal. In some countries, prison guards carry no weapons irregardless of the level of surveillance. In some places they all carry mace. It differs. This narrowminded, self-centered outlook on the world is what made me remind the OP that the game takes place in a country not his own. Try reading the thread from the top, I just did. You might even find the part where you call me ignorant.

The way I read your posts, these two are contradictory. I might be reading them wrong though, but it would be easier for everyone if you left out the insults and the references that ony make sense to americans. You can tell bugger all by my posts too, apparently. I have nothing against the M4 being in the SA and I'm looking forward to playing with its modifications. I would mind it being issued to state employees in Chernarus, an eastern bloc country, though.

Most cars are bought by civilians who can pick and chose. Weapons for armies and police forces are bought by nation states though, and in large quantities. What they buy will be affected by the political and diplomatic climate moreso than quality. There is also the East/west ammunition issue. Hence, M4s would be an unlikely sight in the east. Forget the sheriff, the problem is that you think other countries have built their prisons according the same philosophy as your country did, only with the names and models swapped out (I'm referring to the 'tiers of weapons' bit here). This is not the case. Other countries are not modelled on yours, you need to understand this. There are no generic tiers of weapons in prisons, and the whole idea of the purpose of the prison can be vastly different from what you are used to.

I think the SA Polana looks much better. In the old pic the houses looks like they were dropped down randomly, not a whole lot of structure there. In the SA pic there is a whole other sense of it being an actual town, with less unused spaces and a denser center. Also, that fact that all the houses are enterable makes a big difference. Walking in the street knowing that somebody could be watching you from any which window will have a whole different feel to it, especially now that the town has been made more 'vertical'.

I don't want this to sound weird, but here we go: I've worked with an ambulance service once where we went to pick up a middle aged guy who had been shot once in the abdomen with a nato-caliber assault rifle. He was walking and talking, and had been so while waiting to get picked up. He looked liked he was in pain, but was in full control of himself. He kept a hand pressed onto his stomach and there was no blood to be seen. If I hadn't been briefed I would have thought it was a stomach ache of some sort. As for the ingame mechanics, the arma engine regards everyone as wearing body armor, this is a problem when the same mechanics are used in DayZ. I'm certain the SA will deal with this.

Used by many US allies, sure. Chernarus is an eastern european setting though, you would be a lot more likely to find locally/USSR produced weapons there. Besides, he said generic law enforcement. It's not generic, it's just what he knows. Different countries have different prison systems, where I live prison guards don't carry weapons at all. They might have some pepper spray locked up somewhere, but that's it. Chernarus is very likely different though, as there is no generic system for this.
