At the moment there aren't many people online, but I've met both friendly and less friendly people there in the past. I mostly run around way up north, so I don't meet people that often.

Weird. It's called 'BMRF DayZ #2 - 1.8.0.3'. I can find it in Commander without a problem. BMRF has two Origins servers as well, it's probably one of those you are seeing.

DayZ Origins is sort of a mod of the mod, but I have never played it so I don't really know what it's about. It has a site though. DayZ is the original mod, sometimes called 'vanilla' to differentiate it from the modmods. I would recommend playing vanilla first, the latest updates has been really excellent and there is more to come.

You know, I just might. I usually don't play with a mic though, so you wouldn't get to hear my funny accent much. The server is sadly very empty at the moment, it seems everybody went over to the DayZero servers. But you are most welcome.

Hi Sugar, and welcome. 200 ping sounds a bit high, can't you find servers in Oz? I live in Europe and get about 90-110 on US servers. I'm currently playing on BMRF's #2 server, you should come and shoot me.

Since Rocket's PR skills, good or bad as they may be, doesn't affect the quality of the game they are completely irrelevant.

Imagine if the DayZ forum was in an old fashioned paper format instead of online. Then I could paper the walls of my whole neighborhood with 'release-the-game-now' threads. I miss paper, but what a waste it would be. On topic, it will be released when the devs think it is ready. They have all the information and we have none, why question their judgement on this? It's just a game after all, it'll probably be a good one too. If it is, we'll play it!
