I agree, it is annoying that people don't understand what they have bought into. But bumping those threads of theirs with the word 'ALPHA' ad infinitum is worse. If you can say "lol that was a weird way to die" about the game, you can say "lol that was a weird way to post" too, and go about your business. -

Just report the 'alpha' spam, we can make it go away. Getting angry and throwing insults around is making things worse, not better. Topic please, everyone, and bear in mind that everybody knows about the restarts. -

Nobody knows. It's not that likely to happen before release though, so I wouldn't hold my breath. EDIT: Ignore me, I'm daft. I was thinking of something else while reading, then thought I had read a question on 'when mods will be allowed'. Silly me. I have no idea about private hives. -
This. Could people please stop making these raging 'FIX THIS!' topics? They clutter up the forums, they contribute nothing and they are absolutely pointless. The team won't work any faster just because someone gets mad. Things take time, have patience, make proper bug reports. Locked.

Moved. Please have a look in the Announcements and Information area before asking about new patches, as they are all posted in there with full info. The General Discussion area is meant for debates/discussions about DayZ, and posts like these really clutter it up. Thanks.

The game uses your computer name as default. You can change it by clicking the name on the menu screen.
