If you can be bothered to make an account here just for a pointless rant thread, you can be bothered to make an account on the bug tracker to report your problem. Or at least you would think so. Now go play Rust, or whatever. You certainly won't be missed here.
-
The idea is to use proper navigation skills, find north, seek high ground, look for landmarks and then use the map to figure out where you are. I miss the days when I could still get lost. You can find map pieces from other locations than the one you are in.
-
Please don't clutter up the suggestion forum (more so) just because you get angry at the game.
-
I don't think it defeats the purpose at all. Try looking at it fom a new player's perspective, someone who doesn't know the map like the back of his hand. Finding a map piece of the area you are in would be really helpful, and going beyond it's borders would feel like you are really exploring a new area.

BattlEye bans in waves, and it does work. It doesn't make cheating 'absoltely impossible all the time' though, nothing does.
-
-
Nothing. That's why those noises are so annoying. But being annoying is not the same as being a bug. Did you look at the suggestion I linked to?
-
PracticalTactical, please don't be like that. Have a break to cool off, 24 hours.
-
Try the 'Verify integrity of game cache' option.
-
Question answered, no need for this to stay open. Locked. You three can be better than that. Please show it.
-
If it was that easy, don't you think they would have done it already? What could they possible gain from not doing it?
-
It was an attempt a humour, sorry. I was also insinuating that the forums might get fairly horrid over the course of the suggested '1st/3rd person only' weeks.
-
Are you thinking of any specific weeks? Because Bones is doing the moderator vacation planning at the moment, and I want to have dips on those. *Shudders*.
-
No, that doesn't sound like it's on purpose. If it was as simple as 'just removing them', I'm sure someone would have done by now. Some people seem to think that the devs have a 'remove bugs instantly' button, and just refuse to press it.
-
They aren't bugs, it's ambient background noise. Please have a look at this suggestion thread: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/16342-player-activated-environment-sounds/ Moved.

Freezing/unfreezing every three minutes
Max Planck replied to John_Menhauzen's topic in Troubleshooting
I've turned your posts in the Hotfix thread into a topic in the Troubleshooting forum. That will be better, I think. -
So if you found part of a map, you'd throw it aside waiting to find a whole one?
-
Easy does it. The guy is new, he asked a question new people might ask.
-
I'd like if map pieces had visible damage due to their condition. A 'worn' one could be all scruffy with 'folding-lines', and a 'damaged' one could have a big fat hole in it.
-
Why don't you think anyone would look for maps in an apocalypse, how is that 'fact'?
-
I like having the map in several pieces, gives me more stuff to find. To me the game is about finding stuff you need, not about having it.

I love the cassettes. They could be a great collectible, like the books. I miss cassettes.

Well, where would the radiation come from? There are no nuclear plants either.
