Nope, I'm using a HD 5770. I don't know my frames, but they are certainly higher than 4-6.

I think I see your problem... If you want to join Epoch servers, you need to install that. DayZ Mod and Epoch is not the same. -

I have an Athlon II X2 250, and I can play. Something else must be the problem. OP, what is your monitor resolution?

I have never had a character wiped in 95 hours of playtime. I know others who haven't either, and I think it is because we always play on the same server without hopping about. Some servers seem to screw with your character for whatever reason (bad setup, people tampering with files, who knows), and frequent changes between random servers could likely cause you to get wiped. Just a theory, but might be worth looking into.

Interesting style. I actually watched it (and I never watch people's videos here) because it said 'only 60 seconds'. I liked the "aww, nonononono!" Maybe it would be better to collect the vids in a single topic, instead of making one for each? That way people could watch all of them without having to search. Just an idea.

Standalone... We don't have those things yet. The thing I like best about private servers is that they limit you to a single hive. No more hopping...

I always play on the same server, only changing to my 'back-up server' if my main one is really laggy for me. I think I get a better 'feel' of the server this way, as well as giving me the possibility of encountering the same people multiple times. Also, if loot is hard to come by, I'll be forced to search hard for it. I like that, it makes for a better survival experience I think.

You can turn the music all the way down, that gets rid of all the music. I didn't actually know there was death music, I must have turned the music off before ever dying. -

First, try googling 'steam verify game cache', it's a lot easier than for me to fiddle with screenshots and such. Second, you are aware that Dayz Mod and Dayz SA are two different things, right? Third, is your problem 'missing executable' or 'app already running'? -
