Try updating everything with DayzCommander, then launching through it, much easier. Moved to correct forum.

No one in this forum can do anything about a global ban, besides, this is not the arma forum. Please take your issue up with BattlEye Support.

Which game are we talking about here?

I dont understand why there is no AUTO RUN KEY!!!
Max Planck replied to Bohannan (DayZ)'s topic in Suggestions
I don't think anyone is talking about the double-tab 'W' sprint function, auto-run should be the normal jogging speed. Basically, identical to holding down 'W'. It wouldn't change a dot when it comes to 'realism', it would just save your finger from strain. -
Verbal tics maybe?

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
Max Planck replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
Here is what Rocket has to say on the matter: "Much of the current very problematic hacking is due to some functionality continuing to be calculated locally, such as magazines. We need to spend some development time to change this so that magazine quantity is checked/enforced by the server. The other client-side hacks relate to ESP and such, changing data locally to make it easier for the client to see, aim, etc... BE is the main avenue for protection here, with VAC secondary. BE and particularly VAC do not do anything to prevent client-side hacks, and nor should they (or we). To do so would involve some very invasive mechanisms. They focus on punishment and deterrence instead. Compared to the mod I would say we've been very successful overall in limiting the amount and consequence of hacking. However there is still a number of areas that I think we need to greatly improve on security around what data is controlled locally." Source -
No, but ban evasion is.

Can someone help me out i am so confused
Max Planck replied to majjestic's topic in New Player Discussion
There is the Dayz Mod, which is a modification of Arma2, that is free. Then there is Dayz Standalone which is a full game currently in development, it is possible to get early access to this by purchasing it on Steam. -
Acequat, this is the troubleshooting forum. People post here to get advice on how to fix their problems, so please post your concerns elsewhere.

Have you tried a full reinstall, + verifying the game cache?

This is how dumb punching is in this game.
Max Planck replied to shaeg's topic in General Discussion
You may be sick of it, but I think I was giving pretty good advice. If playing on the experimental branch of a game still in development aggravates you enough to post threads calling temporary settings 'dumb' and 'retarded', then maybe it would be a good idea to wait until the kinks get worked out a bit. Or, find a more constructive way to 'provide feedback'. Sick of it as you may be, I don't say this to patronize him, I say it because these pointlessly aggressive threads make the forums less of a pleasant place to be. They could do that, but then someone else would make a rage thread about how they nerfed it. There is no setting that will satisfy everyone, but still, a range of settings should be tested to find out what works best. This, I believe, is already happening. That would be nice. Blood levels too, I'd rather see some direct, physical effects from blood loss/hunger/thirst than the visual stuff we have now. -

This is how dumb punching is in this game.
Max Planck replied to shaeg's topic in General Discussion
Hey, me too! I mean, at least one person was listening. Experimental server is experimental. Things will be broken, mended, then broken again all the time. It is not 'retarded' and it is nothing to get so upset about. -
That's because the servers are connected to the same central hive. There is one for regular and one for hardcore settings.

Kicked from all servers (Tried everything)
Max Planck replied to SomeCallMeNomad (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Do you get a message when you are kicked? What does it say? -
In that case, let me move this thread to the Standalone forum. Please, in the future, try to post in the correct area and explain what your problem is in detail. People are more likely to help if they don't have to pry the information out of you to do so. I have never heard of this happening before. How do you know you are in the old server?

Kicked from all servers (Tried everything)
Max Planck replied to SomeCallMeNomad (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
I would if I could, but I have never played Epoch and know nothing about it. This forum is also for DayZ Mod troubleshooting, why don't you try asking in the Epoch forums? A quick google gave me this: http://epochmod.com/forum/ -
Are you playing the vanilla mod or one of the mod-of-mod's? How are you joining the servers? How do you check which server you are on? Provide some details on your problem and I'll see if I can help.
-
No, sadly. I wish they could (hence the suggestion thread).

Max Planck replied to shaeg's topic in General Discussion
Experimental servers are being changed all the time. Please, take this piece of advice in the spirit it is given: Save yourself (and us) some grief and wait until the game is finished. The development phase will contain tons of things that will aggravate you, and this kind of posts does noone any good. Not you, not me, not these forums.- 90 replies

I think you need to read my post again. The random soda can pops and zombie groans are a bug, the gate creaking a church bells are part of the ambient sounds.
-
Back in the mod we had random gate creaking, church bells, weird 'slam-boing' sounds and a host of other stuff. I even made a suggestion about it, nearly two years ago now.

Full auto shotguns in the game now? With 100 magazine capacity?
Max Planck replied to Zeronium's topic in General Discussion
Maybe it was hackers, have you ever thought of that? You can go discuss it in this thread when you are done being sarcastic.
