Let's ask @Greensek og @ImpulZ, they might know. You'll have to wait till monday though, people need time off you know. Please don't make any more topics on the subject for now, spamming won't make it go faster.

The video I removed claimed exactly that, both in-video and in its description. It also contained a plethora of slurs. I agree. Also, high ping is annoying and disruptive, that's good enough reason to set a limit.

Well, okay. I'll explain it... Saying "A lot of the cheaters are from China" is not racist. Saying "I think we need a ping limit" is also A-OK, who wants to play against someone with high ping? Referring to chinese people as 'chinamen', 'commie scum', 'red menace' and the like, as well as claiming 99,9% of all chinese people are cheaters, is racist as all hell and has no place here. No, communism isn't a race. But when you attribute what you conceive as a negative trait to someone, based on his ethnicity, THAT is racist. Under no circumstances do you get to tell me to "get the fuck out" of this forum.

Maybe they could pinch them from 'Take on Helicopters'? I haven't played it (it's in my pile of shame) but, from the looks of it, it could be a great DayZ setting.

I've removed the video and the imgur link from the OP. I took the imgur link out because we don't do the 'name & shame' here, as it would lead to a situation where anyone could freely accuse others of all manner of things, and post their personal info. Let BattlEye deal with cheaters, not a kangaroo court. The video was removed because this site is not an outlet for racist ballyhoo. The creator was banned from Twitch for hate speech, and for good reason. The cheating issue is a serious problem, and something must be done about it. But, and this is important, if you can't discuss it without resorting to racial slurs, you will not be discussing it here.

Software that showed you other people's position, or even your own, would be a cheat and would eventually get you banned. I hope you aren't looking for something like that.

As McWendy said, take it up with the Steam mods.

I understand you are frustrasted by this, but posting angry one-liner topics in General Discussion won't get it fixed one second faster. All it does is disrupt the forum. Please use the feedback tracker for bug reports.

Your posts did not get deleted, they are here, and here. You are welcome to participate in the discussions here, but it will have to be at an adult level. Creating an account just to yell 'you suck!' won't do.

If you fail, you lose everything and start over." This was always the way it was, and I, for one, will be really upset if it changes.

For 'each item to have an agreed upon value', you would need to get all players in a server to agree upon that value. This might prove to be a hard task, given how DayZ players tend to behave... If they don't agree, and no one is enforcing a set price system on them, then it wouldn't exist. Except by magic. There is not supposed to be magic in DayZ. DayZ has always been about 'making it what you want it to be, with the tools you have available'. And I'm not talking about mod tools, but guns, nails and cans of peaches. You want a trader? Go trade. You want a safe zone? Get some friends and go make it safe. You want a currency? Get people on your server to agree to one, or force them. No magic. Waching videos of a modded game on youtube might have given you the wrong impression of this game, but that doesn't, and shouldn't, change what it is. And, again, I have nothing to do with development.

I'm not a developer, I'm a forum user with 'elevated privileges', a janitor of sorts. It's called a 'moderator'. I clean up spam, move topics around (seemingly at random) and give the rowdy folk the bum's rush. When I share my opinion, it doesn't reflect back on Bohemia. It does reflect the fact that I've been following the developement of DayZ since 2012, so there's that. It doesn't matter what you call it, all that matters is its practical value. If there is no powerful, and trusted, organization around to guarantee that they'll back a currency, then you are left with a barter economy. You swap useful items for other useful items. These things were never part of the original plan for DayZ and, hopefully, never will be. 

It wouldn't make any sort of sense though. The concept of currency is dependent on a powerful organisation, like a corporation or nation state, to back it up. In the world of Dayz, cash would be worthless.

Please go have a look in the 'server advertisement' forum area, instead of making smaller server advertisement areas inside other forum areas. Put in the work, and you'll be rewarded.
