50mil? Where did you get that number? Which currency are you talking about? Do you think whatever money DayZ generates on Steam goes directly into Rocket's Pockets? Doing their job? Not ruining the business they work for? Not getting fired? If I don't do my job, I get fired, I'm fairly sure Bohemia has a similar policy. What they also have is a reputation for supporting their games for a long time after release, doing a runner on DayZ would be a huge risk to Bohemia. His employer? Himself? Maybe it is not about impressing people, but about doing one's job? There are a lot of people working on DayZ at the moment, they all get salaries, they all need to keep their job. This "they are sticking the cash in suitcases and flying off to Miami" theory is a complete brainfart, it makes no sense in the real world. It is also very insulting to the people who go in to work every day and do their jobs. But I guess it is just too easy to post slander from behind a keyboard, and too easy not to care if your words cause damage. -
Clarification please... how do I play now?

There is no need to re-purchase, you can add the games to Steam if you want to. The button is in the lower left corner of the Steam interface. As for getting it running, I think using DayZ Launcher should work fine. All the servers have 'migrated to Steam' because of the GameSpy closure, and DayZComannder have not been updated to work with this. At least that is my understanding of it, I run the mod though Steam myself. -
There are plenty of privately held companies who are doing very well indeed. Cargill, Koch Industries, Valve, Ikea... No shareholders, still doing fine. What we have bought into with DayZ is a preorder of an unfinished game, not a share of the company. They post tons of information, but not in the form you prefer. Not in the from I prefer either, but at least it is readily available and gets out there fairly fast (thanks, DevStalker). At any rate, they communicate in the way they prefer and complaining about it won't change that. We always have the choice of ignoring the game until release, because release is pretty much all they owe us at the moment.

The DevStalker is being worked upon at the moment, the idea is to filter out all the cat updates and other irrelevant stuff. No they don't, actually. More, and better structured/presented communication would be a nice thing, but I'd much rather have them working on the game. The water won't cook any faster because you keep staring at it.

No one is warning you and no one is silencing you. It sounds like you have a bit of a martyr complex. As for the 'broken zeds', are you talking about the running-through-stuff thing? Well, have a look here: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/204280-nav-mesh/ Bohemia have a reputation for supporting their products for a long time, I'm sure we will see the same happening when DayZ is, some day, actually finished.
