Some servers are 1st person only. This is called 'hardcore' mode, as oppsed to 'regular' mode. The server browser will tell you whether a given server is the one or the other.

DayZMod and Epoch are different things, do you have the Epoch files downloaded too? I don't think you can launch Epoch from Steam but I wouldn't know, you could try asking on the Epoch forums.

Are you trying to join regular DayZMod servers or servers for a mod of the mod like Epoch? If it's the latter, you need to download files specific to these.

Actually, I'll just lock this. Otherwise people will counter it with 'evidence', evidence that should rather be reported to a forum team member instead. Remember people: Help fight the cheaters, don't do their advertising for them. Locked.

I don't know what GameDebate is, but I have a Regor 250 (@stock) and a HD5770 and I turn the settings down a good bit, especially AA. It's still a bit choppy for me sometimes, but better than SA. It also depends a lot on the server you are playing on.

What's the resolution of your monitor and what are your graphics settings?

There is really no reason to get upset over this, is there? For what it is worth, his cpu is better than mine... EDIT: But my cpu sucks and the game runs really choppy at times.

Sorry for the off-topic, but I just love that picture. Notice how the young fellow on the right has found himself a nice flowery cushion to sit on, that's some good thinking. And what is up with those helmets? They are enormous! What are they hiding up there?

That's odd. Sorry I can't really be of help, it's been more than a year since I installed and I haven't encountered any problems of that sort. But, just to be certain, we are talking about the standalone game, right? Not the mod? I only ask because people sometimes gets them confused, which makes it hard to troubleshoot.

How does the error happen, do you get to play a bit before or does it happen when joining? What servers are you trying? What do you mean by 'hotfixes'?
