Try the 'history' tab in the server browser. If you spend a short while learning how the servers work you won't have to start over again. The information you need in readily available on these forums. Every game has a learning curve, this one not the least. It is worth it though, in my opinion.

Did you join the same server as before? Note that 1st person and 3rd person servers don't share character databases, your character will not carry over. Furthermore, private shards have their own databases. Your guy might still be out there.

I don't know much about laptop graphics, but I'm not sure it'll cut it. I'm sure someone else here can tell you.

Which GPU do you have? What's your resolution? Please don't capitalize random letters in your reply, it makes it a pain to read.

I think the point of it would be lost if you could turn it off. The feature would put drawbacks on some items, like gasmasks and helmets, this would force players to figure out whether the benefits are worth it. Headgear would have situational value, instead of being 'vanity items'.

I agree, this would be a great addition. I do worry that this won't get much developer attention though, as it seems most people play 3rd person.

DayZ an Epoch are not affiliated with each other and Epoch has its own forum:http://epochmod.com/forum/ I would ask there. As for DayZCommander, have a look at the stickied posts in this forum area. -

Some servers are 1st person only. This is called 'hardcore' mode, as oppsed to 'regular' mode. The server browser will tell you whether a given server is the one or the other. -

DayZMod and Epoch are different things, do you have the Epoch files downloaded too? I don't think you can launch Epoch from Steam but I wouldn't know, you could try asking on the Epoch forums. -

Are you trying to join regular DayZMod servers or servers for a mod of the mod like Epoch? If it's the latter, you need to download files specific to these.
