Yes. Spawn killing mechanics would be unchanged, if someone wants to kill you from 300m out with an AK, or from the treeline with a DMR, it does not matter whether you have a Makarov or not.

It's not that simple. Note how it says UNOFFICIAL in the upper left corner? That means it is not official. All snarkiness aside, the devs should really release an official list. As it is now, there is no way of knowing what you can legally pick up, but if you pick up the wrong thing you get permabanned.

That only applies to the American constitution and most people don't live in America. The game does not take place in America either.

Done is done, time to move on. This was a learning experience. Maybe next time it happens the announcement post could be called "Forums hacked - Accounts deleted" instead of "Forums/they trollinnnnnn". That way, people would think it is about accounts being deleted, not forums being trolled. I'm sure Tonic will go to his grave denying that it could have been worded better, but at least the info got out in the end. Everything apart from the initial announcement was handled just fine, in my opinion.

This indeed. I've only been dc'ed on once, only been killed by a player once (unsuccessful attempts don't count), and I have never seen anyone spawn crazy shit or kill the whole server. Not saying it never happens, but reading the forums you would think it's the rule, not the exception.

Just because the game is online it doesn't need to be a chat forum as well. I personally find it very annoying to have the side chat constantly spew hateful nonsense while I'm trying to sneak. Can't we just play the game as it was intended, and then 'socialize' here on the forums?

You could start by reading one of the many guides. There is even one stickied.
