The aren't using the Arma 3 engine though. They are using a branch of the Take on Helicopters engine, which itself is a branch of the Operation Arrowhead engine.

But people can move from country to country. I for example, live in England even though I wasn't born here. Russians living in the US might end up speaking russian on your server, and then you'll still have your language problem. Are you sure what you want isn't the right to ban people for not speaking some specific language?

Yes, and there is wind in the trees and such. Still, compared to a city/town full of living breathing people, cars, dogs, ice cream trucks, mailmen, paperboys and carjackers there is very little noise. Therefore, it is possible to hear someone running as it will be a completely isolated and unique disturbance in the soundscape.

If someone jogging a block away is the only sound around, then yes, you can hear him. These infected have fairly poor eyesight but a normal sense of hearing.
