    Rolling Update Rev - 0.43.116251

Biggest fix I would like to see is the zeds not being able to morph through floors and walls. I can deal with rubberbanding and loot not spawning right, etc. But actually I've been pretty aloof at avoiding them after studying their wall and floor hacking abilities, hehehe.

How are the "official" servers named? Or how can you tell from the server list? I've joined a bunch of random ones and the updated loot that everyone talks about doesn't seem to be working for me.
  4. The latest version is .215 so it's still picking up the old version from somewhere...maybe deleting both batteleye folders entirely and then try logging into a server? Have no idea if that will work though. The steps provided above works for most having issues including myself...the dayz mod(s) and Arma 3 and it's mods don't have any trouble updating for me just Dayz standalone. Hopefully batteleye is working on a fix right now with Steam so it updates properly in game. Who knows, maybe it has something to do with SA server(s) being able to push out the latest updates. If I can think of anything else, I'll post it here. Let me know if you ever do get it running.
  5. Damn man, well sorry I couldn't help. Don't know if reinstalling Dayz would help or not. It's frustrating as hell I DO know that lol. Good luck, I hope you get it working.
  6. Have you tried verifying cache integrity of dayz through steam?

    Would love to play

If it's a Batteleye kick problem follow my instructions here. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/182917-battleye-solution-for-failed-to-update-kicks/page-2
  8. For those still having trouble, there are a few methods to manually install the newest updates for Batteleye when they come out. This is just one of them, that works for me and has previously been touched upon. This pertains to Windows 8.1 as that is the op system Im running, but should also work for Win 7, etc. 1. Manually download the latest battleye file from here http://www.battleye.com/download.html (obviously you want the top file for Dayz) 2. You need to have your "hidden" system files available for view. This can be done by double clicking "My Computer" (for Win 7 users) or "This PC" (Win 8 users) and at the top row of buttons there is one called "view" Click that and you will see on the far right hand side an option to check that says "hidden files" For Windows 8.1 users if you have not made a shortcut to "This PC" you can navigate to it by entering the "metro interface" by hitting the windows button on your keyboard, clicking the round circle with the downward arrow and then scrolling over to "This PC" If you have not updated to 8.1 yet, then just type "This PC" in the search bar. 3. Navigate to this file structure by following the steps in #2. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\DayZ there you will find a Batteleye folder which its contents are not locked. Enter that folder and delete BEClient.dll. 4. Go to wherever you saved your new BEClient.dll file that you previously just downloaded and cut and paste that into the folder. 5. Now if you have trouble with the next step with the folder being locked so you cant delete it, a simple reboot of your computer will free up the folder for deletion. 6. navigate to C:\Users\this will be the name of your computer\AppData\Local\DayZ This is the batteleye folder you will delete. Like stated previously, if it tells you its locked, just reboot your computer and dont load up dayz or anything else. Just go straight there and it will be unlocked because Steam hasn't got a chance to lock it yet since you have not ran Dayz. 7. Now load up Dayz and join a regular server (have not tested on hardcore yet) and your Batteleye will update correctly and make a new folder where you previously deleted the last one. 8. ^^^Note^^^ I have created a "downloads" folder on my desktop where I store all my files that I download from the net. If you don't cut and paste the BEClient.dll file and just merely copy it, the next time you download the newest version of BEClient.dll to your download location, if it's the same, it will rename it so its not a duplicate file. That's why I say cut and paste, so you dont have to manually rename the file again etc. 9. Profit **I've had to do this method the last few times for all batteleye updates. I'm guessing its because Steam locks the Folder for "hacking" reasons or something. I'm not sure if some people don't have this issue at all and their Battleye updates correctly or not. I've just built a new system, and fresh install of everything. So I know nothing has been deleted or corrupted on my system, so something is broke along the lines here somewhere between Steam/Battleye etc.** ***Disclaimer - You will now be able to access hidden files and folders on your hard drive. I take no responsibility for accidental deletion of said files and folders, and system crashes if you delete something you shouldn't*** This was merely a guide relating to Dayz and battleye to get it working for those having trouble***
  9. My rant is over. Some will understand, most will not. Won't plague you anymore with my feelings. God Speed dev team...
  10. Ok I'll just shoot it straight off the cuff...adding hats and "filler" items to the game is not helping out...do we REALLY NEED berets, hard hats, cowboy hats, multiple helmets, etc, etc, NO. FAIL. OBVIOUSLY the game development is being done by community "modders" instead of dedicated developer professionals. Hence the "twitter" feed that was posted by Rocket a month ago askng for anyone with a PULSE to send Matt Lightfoot a Resume if they could design in game graphics, especially "cereal boxes" REALLY? FAIL IT TAKES FOREVER for your character to switch weapons or perform most actions...fluidity gone...see any COD series or any other game for that matter....FAIL WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE FOR 1.5 years? OBVIOUSLY climb mountains and such. Same map different textures. Zombies STILL WALK THROUGH WALLS AND FLOORS. FAIL can't even get a worthless experiment branch to go stable...rubberbanding and NO WARNING when a server restarts? MAJOR FAIL Rocket makes his money and then bails to open his "own studio" LMAO how about he made bank and realized this team of "modders" at Bohemia couldn't get this shit done in 1.5 yrs...gotta go...FAIL THE RANT AND LIST GOES ON...and before I hear one fucking word about "ALPHA" go ahead and shut your mouth fanboys, and enjoy WAITING 4-5 more years for a "playable" version of this shit ass raped version of a PC game. Enjoy your 20 FPS AND RUBBERBANDING
  11. Would be nice to see some devs that have experience with the MMORG type of games...to have fluid graphic action with thousands upon thousands of players seamlessly playing in the world is a major feat in itself. Obviously they know about multiplayer infrastructure and how to correctly optimize the game for performance. Not a dig or a slam against anyone. Just throwing around ideas.
  12. Would give anything just to have a bicycle to ride
  13. Yes I was wondering also when the latest release will come out. In the changelog it says 1.1 community update is unreleased, as well as 1.2 Im using 1.0.1 and wondering if that is the latest current version?

    loading screen stuck

Hello all...hopefully this is not a redundant post, I have used search to try to find a similar thread before creating this post, and I couldn't come up with anything, so here goes. I have created a Custom Load screen for our server which is hosted by Dayz.st and we are running the Namalsk map. Our mission file is not that large, like 449 kb roughly...it was over 1100kb but I edited the jpg picture im using for the load screen and shrunk it down to the current level. We are running a custom debug and auto ruefuel script. No extra buildings and "normal amount" of vehicle spawns. My problem is this: After loading into game from a fresh server restart it seems to "hang" at the loading screen for awhile before you get the message "creating character...etc..etc" If you would happen to die, go into the lobby then back in the game, it loads in a flash. I can't figure out what's holding it up. I tried checking the box in dayz commander to auto close commander after logging into the server and while it seemed to help a little, no drastic improvements have been made. also if I edit our pbo then re-up it to the server and then log on, of course it re-downloads the the mission file, which is done quickly because of the 449kb size but then when the "white progress bar" at the bottom of the screen reaches the end, it just hangs there for awhile before creating the character and going into game. We have hosted with Vilayer and HFB in the past, and I don't really recall such a slow load time into game, but I really didn't pay that close attention because it seemed to load at "normal" speed I have tried switching the loadscreen call command closed to the front of the code, and that didn't work, so I put it back where it originally was. ANY HELP is greatly appreciated!!!!
