I'd advise you to reuse your current case, dvd-rom for now and get a western digital black sata3 hdd if you can. Reason I picked the matx version of the extreme 4 for you is it is cheaper, will def fit in your current case, and still does sli/cross-fire

All those parts can be found on Amazon at similar prices.

DayZ is no longer what it used to be...
delta5 replied to BluDrifter's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Is dayz going the way of.... -
With your budget go AMD.
-
DayZ runs 60+ fps while installed on my secondary wd black sata3 hdd.
-
Then take the vid card off my list and switch out the amd cpu/mobo for a 3570k/asrock extreme 3 or 4
-
sandbags. Are you playing the normal dayz or dayz+?

IDK if its been released yet, as I am on win7, but the next update to win8 is suppose to give users the start button option.

I love the case as it is simple style with none of that neon ricer style crap or ostentatious design.)

I'm thinking about getting 4 of these. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835553006 2 front, 1 rear, 1 side. And this one for the top fan. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181028

Need someone to look over my build...
delta5 replied to D3AD_S1L3NT's topic in Technology/Programming
Skip on the corsair and build a custom loop so you can cool the cpu, mobo, ram, and vid card. -
I already own this setup. Aside from dayz the most demanding games I play is civ5 and jagged alliance: back in action. I really been thinking about getting an asus 27" 3d monitor with nvidia glasses.
-
Have you tried flashing your phone?
-
Sounds like the quata function is turned on. If it is then windows 7 won't let you write to the drive after you reached the quota percentage set on the drive. Google how to change drive storage quota.
-
Micro Center is the best place to get a good cpu/mobo combo deal IF you have one close by. I got a 3570k and asrock extreme 4 for around 300 dollars.
-
Your PC isn't Morgan Freeman approved. Get a 3570k, z77 board, 7850+, and some neon lights.

I got a vector 4 128gb ssd for my os. Anyone have any idea if I should encrypt/compress this ssd or leave it uncompressed for best performance?

I ordered a Good Processor and Video Card

http://www.manualowl.com/m/Acer%20Computers/Aspire-X1430G/Manual/257842 You're going to need a new case. Looks like a mini ITX motherboard and case. -
Get the 770 as it is suppose to be an upgrade over the 670 and the 770 has new instruction sets I believe. No reason to go 670 if the 770 is within the same price range. http://www.hwcompare.com/14635/geforce-gtx-670-vs-geforce-gtx-770/

A secondary HDD WD Blue that only keeps files should be good. Its what I used and never had a problem. IDK if the tv tuner card I had made a difference tho.
-
Only way to get close to burning an ivy is to turn off various settings in bios, crank voltage all the way up and try to boot. OR just pour water on it.

I hope Op isn't going off what ASUS Ai Suite is telling him the temps are. My last ASUS board on my old sandy bridge said the temps were 10 degrees less than what they actually were. Anyways, I run a 3570K with a 212+ on a ASROCK Extreme 4 and can do 4.0Ghz with temps never breaking 74C. Its all about not letting the motherboard or some POS software do the OC for you. When I was running at 4.0Ghz I believe my voltage was 1.28 max. Lost my OC when I hit the reset button on the motherboard by mistake :( It was a sad day.

Less than 30 days and my samsung 840 128gb ssd went out. Microcenter is letting me return it and pay the difference for the 840pro 250gb one. Pain in the arse but at least ill have a much better ssd.
