Is the current dayz mod still requiring like 5 sidearm shots on the body to kill people?
-
I wonder if its the same "mmo" engine used by Sergey.
-
Speaking of hookers, is the SA using the Arma 2 or 3 engine? And if so, doesn't that mean Arma is whoring out it's engine?
-
He kind of has a point. I remember everyone here turning into little school girls when the whole, release after vacation thing. Sure, WarZ, Infested hookers, whatever it is called sucks. I'm tired of the "ball dangle dance" everyone here is doing.

The brown nosing is strong in this thread.

3570k 189.99 extreme4 104.99 ^When you buy them together. Worried about them not having it when you get there? Order online with store pickup option and you'll still get the discounts.

lol op. Your build looks alot like mine. I see you got parts with micro center as the place. Do you have a micro center near you? If you go to micro center store you'll knock at least 60 dollars off the price of the cpu/mobo. Edit: Not to mention micro center is a candy store for us techno people.

Looking to upgrade slowly, recommend priorities please?

Your ddr2 ram isn't going to impact a new video card. The H60 isn't all that great. Have you tried stock settings and up the clock speed multiplier by 1, not the fsb clock? Do this until it doesn't pass prime95 without error then step up the voltage until it passes prime95 and repeat until you hit the thermal limit, voltage limit, or mobo/cpu's limit. -

Video card, then save up to buy a new cpu/mobo/ram all in one shot. Maybe get a heatsink for your current cpu to OC. -
GTX 760 - PSU Needs
delta5 replied to patrick_insanity@hotmail.com's topic in Technology/Programming
For 1 GTX 660 it calls for min of 450w. I have 3570k @ 4Ghz, 8gigs of ram, hdd, ssd, 5 fans, and 2 GTX 660s and in torture test my kill-a-watt meter only hits low 400w. -
Dude, I have the 3570k and the cooler master 212+ with only 1 fan and I never go past 73c with an OC @ 4.0Ghz. 73c is my max when stress testing. cpuid has been running non stop for over 48hrs and I haven't went over 56c. With your cooler what matters is air coming into the case, pulling that air through your heatsink. and surface area of your cooler.

The 1150 only has like 1 more "major" cpu coming out and it isn't going to be a big deal. Its going to be like going from sandy to ivy.

Still, It doesn't take a rocket science to figure out where the power cords go, they only go on one way. For I/O panel it can be confusing for first timers. I never realized it took people 4-5hrs to put a pc together. I agree static bands or at least grounding yourself to the case is a must but don't want it to scare people away from building. My first build I put together on the mobo's box on carpet and it is still serving as my media center. Built it when the E4300 came out in like 2006ish.
-
4-5 hours? First time builders who did their homework shouldn't take this long. The whole static issue is don't build on carpet in very dry climate. (Humidity lvl of 50% will work) Ram shouldn't need much force from my exp. No more force than needed to retain the cpu socket cover Manuals are great for ref, but no need to read it if you have decent logic. Not much harder than figuring out where red, white, and yellow go for RCA cables.

Corsair PSU are so sexy. I'd say still go 850W so if you ever do go sli you'll have the wattage and amperage on the 12v rail.
-
Have you looked at the corsair r400? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139008 Also, if you plan on going 2-way sli and not 3-way I'd downgrade to the Extreme 4 and upgrade the PSU.

People are still jumping on the win8 hate train. Has MS released WIN8's new update that adds the start button?

I used a can of gloss black spray paint from wal-mart, some sticky food wrap to cover the spacers, and painters tape. About 5 dollars in cost. Here is my case before: Here is the paint job.

I really been thinking about getting a case like that and being done with it. But I grew up in a poor household, so this is me getting to do things I wanted to do growing up. It'll also give me more things to teach my son when he is old enough. Heck he is 19.5 months old and likes to use his little plastic screw driver on the case like he is helping me lol. Should have seen the look on his face when I let him hold one of the GTX 660 SCs. He was a happy camper.

I plan on doing really good cable management when I decide how I'm going to cut the side panel and add plexiglass. Thinking about cutting the hdd bay out to make run for a H100i rad, but might just use the top 140mm fan spot for a H80i. I'm also thinking about getting a small sheet of galvanized aluminum to make a cover for the PSU and to the front of the case so I can hide stuff there, like cables, 3.5" hdd. The ssd is on the back side which is nice.

I was gonna ask how much fiber cost you a month. Anyone here have T1 or higher for their home?
-
Is that your vpn or your actual speed?

Wish comcast was an option here. I usually get 15mb/s down out of my 18mb/s service.
