Far out pilgrim that's a hell of a response. the only parts i agree on would have to be with the why the fuck did they cut the forest back so much which was a pretty strange turn which in turn makes hiding camps harder but that's about all i have to say.. (considering weve been thrashing chernaurs for 5+years now) Now to my question for you sir.. how many hrs do you have in the standalone ^_____^ -
Well I am going to guess that it's a glitch. I'm not sure what feature for a binocular would require an "open/close" option other than perhaps for taking the lens caps off but they are old school russian binocs in dayz that don't look as if they ever would have caps anyway and i would doubt the devs would bother messing around with any sort of official container system for the binoculars. I can only think of this type of glitch >> Did you maybe have an item in your hands before you were holding the binoculars that has an open close function and maybe the game did something wacky there with the strange lag that can happen when using items sometimes. I know i have certainly had weird problems like the one i suggested with items in the past with the weird "item lag" that can happen

Wow who shit in this kids cereal ? hahaa The map is alot more interesting than the old chernarus. I can see you are having one of those rants tho. Usually most of us stay away from the forums when we are in this kind of mood. Hey, dont get me wrong, there is still alot of irritating things about dayz but I think alot of those things and ideas are slowly being addressed over time. Even as a long time fan of dayz i think its easy and safe to say we all need our "long breaks" from dayz. For instance, some of the things that I'm worried about is stuff like "base building/fortification " or how about the stamina system will be introduce in 63. but there is no talk of the time frame for when vehicles will be back (that i know of).. but then again why is there no damn push bikes for us to use until cars are working properley ? When was the last time any of this stuff was mentioned ? These are the things that make we wonder when paying attention to dev blogs etc. But rather then getting all unhappy i just look away for a while :D Uhh.. you can choose who you spawn as... ^_^ -

I still wonder why they havent made it 2-3 mins or so after you log out.. i mean is its 20 secs or whatever atm how hard could it be to adjust the timer for that sequence ? -

No way that sounds like a total pain in the arse. Lets reserve this one for origins perhaps. I hate to say this because we have been waiting a while for it but i think that when the infections are legitimately introduced this should crave any "serum" chasing kind of urge people have for the game

Ability to forcefully move a tied up player

Wiggle in the car while restrained and gun to head is cool but i don't think there is any real way to force someone to actually "move" to a location with out a good old fashioned verbal threat.. the raspy and deeper the voice the more effective it will be. Also I thought the tape over the mouth idea would have been in a while back because its quite a good one. -
I agree with the others on this. Its not needed. I have thought very little about it before but i remember thinking technically bullets should fall (stray from a bunch) if they are loose and not secured inside a box if we are going this far for gravity purposes :P Always a yes to the separate pockets idea and If anything i believe we should at least have to have a delay at taking items from your pack (animation?) before any other "inventory" adjusting changes should be implemented. Thus making your pockets more important as we all know and would love to see

Seasons are not even a thing in the game yet ? I think i do remember maybe there is a very basic summer or winter or something where the temperature is a little different but overall there isnt a huge difference yet as in it doesn't effect the game much at all ? I'm guessing you are just speculating on the future of dayz ? Anyway i would love to see proper varying seasons like in this video here tho there is no way we would ever see this kinda detail unless done by a die hard mod :D -

i think this idea more so appeals to the old school veterans that would like to see more out of dayz. This kind of thing is a good incentive to play the game, we need more non gimmick events in the community. Great ideas.. tho i don't like the hydration and hunger affecting your character while offline. -

I think a human skin mask like the texas chainsaw massacre villain would be cool... just like pelts but you harvest a human.. and it looks all dank and rotten and after a while flies start buzzing around (well the flies is probs asking a bit much :D) Anyway, i see this topic is rather old.. i would like to see some very rare masks so when you see them you are like " WOW LOKK DAT UBER RAREST MASK" -

Exactly, I always cringe when i see people say " There's to many zombies atm" I have a feeling they maybe apart of the pvp crowd. I'm still hoping for the day when this happens...i didnt know brian hicks said they wanted to add more player slots to 75-100 before adding more infected then there is now. That's makes me want to ignore this game for another 3 years as it sais to me the devs are more swinging towards the pvp side of things these days which makes me unhappy. Don't take this out of context however as I'm sure the devs are all for pve but I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around 75-100 player servers that is waaay to busy even for the map size (IMO) And if anything the military areas should be the damn hardest to navigate with at least 3-4 more times the amount of zombies so you cant enter these areas with anything less than an armed team. At the moment I have a mil tent up north at TISY looting it every day trying to find the infamous SVD :D -
well in 61. I'm sure me and my crew accidentally left a stash barrel lid open and nothing depsawned over say a 12 hr period. Interacting will definetly refresh the despawn counter for said storage but as far as i know pretty much all (barrels, tents) stay until a all hive wide reset. Tho I'm sure something happens if someone has NOT interacted with their storage for a week or 2 ? hmm you really got me thinking here.. Despawning items after only 8hrs with no lid ? i would seriously doubt that.. can anyone else tell us some info on despawning storage items ?

Yes totally, the thing is for me personally. The zombie apocalypse in my head is playing the game with a group of freind's and rarely coming across any other players at all with alot of infected making it hard to move in towns. Kind of making it feel a bit like a coop game. I would just prefer the experience of meeting "outsider" players a more rare and unique experience making my group want to interact with them because we hadnt seen anyone else for a long time and you are like this " holy shit another player(s) maybe we can swap an item(s) rather than the now logic of "fuck lets stay away from them they will probs try to kill " Alot of player traffic takes from the immersion imo. My play style is to mostly avoid everyone tho unless they are close by than ill try to have a chat to them, I never try to kill anyone unless they try first. -

Yep, fantastic ideas you have ! I don't know about the battery life one however but you put some effort into this and we can see that.. I hope these enter the game some day.. especially the damn gamma fix we have all been waiting for so long I mean its def better than the mod these days but its still noooo where near what we need I mean whats the point of night vision equipment even being added if the gamma situation is never truly fixed. Love the blood bag idea also.. think some dude(s) have posted something similar in the past or something like crafting the pen with the bag then the blood type "appears" on the blood bag but perhaps it can only be written by the person who created it or maybe you can choose from a selection of blood types to "write" on the bag because you need the test kit anyway ? KEEP EM COMEN - I like nicely formatted posts like this and i think the devs could take them more seriously (maybe)

I personally have never liked side chat at all as it gets caked with sk mofo spam. As long as we can turn it off i guess its fine but other than that i like it not being there. I guess the devs want more people to use the walkie talkie radios. -
Server listing only showing low, medium, high pop?!?

I can agree here but i think more so maybe you want to see the player list in game. That is what i miss, being able to witness my ping. I can understand why they took it out (player list) but atleast let me see my ping. Maybe there is a console option ??
