The likely hood of finding a weapon other than a spanner or axe should be very small. Maybe an old battered hunting rifle 1 in 1000 spawns :|

Give a reason to play on night servers?

I always loved playing at night in dayz (until i found out about the exploit of brightness setting).. I always felt sorry for the bums who hated it considering how much i loved it.. you see I've been playing games/FPS for 20 + years now.. This has made me grow to love very difficult situations in fps games in the latter years..to keep things interesting (think of it as keeping the fire in the relationship between me and FPS ) ANYWAY, running around in complete pitch black being to scared to use my flashlight reminded me of playing amnesia..Without a weapon at night especially, dayz turns into a real survival horror situation, avoiding every sound you hear. It's almost as if night time is a whole in chapter of dayz once the sun goes down.. its 50 % of the game for me ! -
Indeed check out wasteland.. even dayz 2017 is alot harder.. it feels so lonely in that game.. but there is still infected of course

DUDE ! I have been thinking of this idea for ages but haven't bother to post it here yet ! I love this idea so much... random cabins and or small sheds that spawn only deep in the forests.. I dont think the bot survivor idea will ever see the light of day(according to rocket) but the random spawning of just the smallish buildings is a brilliant idea. I can see it now..You have been lost in the woods for the last 2 hours..The lasts rays of the sun are vanishing through the tree tops .. the temperature is dropping rapidly.. the dense woods are slowly but surely sinking into complete darkness.. and finally, you spot a small derelict cabin.. still standing.. it has a chimney ! you break in with your crowbar etc.. SOUP TIME ..woOo :lol:

A graveyard is too cliche. The Sewers is an opportunity!, perhaps think of the sewers as a means of travel to avoid all hectic activity on the streets above. Sewers could be the alternate route with the idea of it being hard to travel as its in the dark and somewhat of a maze of connected tunnels with only a few infected (homeless, maintenance workers) here and there but safer to travel for the most part, especially with a team. So batteries for all artificial light source(s) aswell would make this idea pure radness I can understand somewhat of this sewer cliche you speak of but i think ideas like this(me and some of others suggested) gives them an actual purpose and makes them an awesome idea

Really, really do need those old ww2 russian weapons for sure, they should pretty much be in the game more than most other weapons ! would love to find an old mosin,SVT or ppsh.. none of this le enfeild poo.. i was always confused on why that was modelled into original dayz instead of a mosin ^_^

Hmm.. perhaps.. i cant make up my mind from that wwz trailer, the zombies look like something from I am Legend (way to fast/super human) which is a tad off putting but I haven't really seen the wwz infected properly yet.. who knows what the hell that movie will be like.. apparently they remade the last 3rd of the movie cause it was uber shitastic

Hahaa yes indeed ! and you could obtain a "scum sewer dweller" skin after so many hrs spent in the sewer and you can make animal calls to scare players

Most definetley.. and sewers aswell, sewers/subway could be used as alternate way to cross a city rather than using the above exposed streets exchanged for tight dark tunnels would be soo CREAM.. this would also reinforce the idea of having batteries for lights etc and add a whole new element that would raise the game experience to a super cream fest level I do believe. Finding old lanterns and hardhats with lights attached in sewer/subway maintenance living quater(s). So yes, finding items unique to the area(s) would be special .

I see what your getting at and I think its past through my own mind once or twice but i think an easier and/or better solution maybe to make the time longer between spawns or something a bit more basic like this.. I seriously think there is no way they would make 1 time spawn per server reset.. It just has a bad ring to it in my opinion even with the more emphasis on "trading" idea.. I would hate to have to trade to be honest.. the risk of being fucked over is way to high.. perhaps this idea more so applies to dayz 2017, where the loot is already super rare and an "only spawn once" idea would be a great way to make that game even more morbid ^_^

They will obviously sort out all those gay problems im sure... For me i need this -No farkn hackers -Can not adjust brightness for night time so you can see like it is daytime -combat logging(which is pretty much fixed anyway, well i bit more work could help i spose)

I have fantasied about molotovs since the the day, dayZ was released.. shit damn i hope they are in the SA straight away.. maybe burning things is difficult in the arma engine without lag.. who knows.. But i hope when we can use them after being crafted etc that they take a few seconds to actually use.. to imitate grabbing your matches/lighter and lighting the rag then throwing the bottle.. this way they cant exactly be used in haste and requires a level of coordination to be effective.. thas me ^_^

Hmmm... when I first started reading this thread i was wondering how old the dude was that originally posted it but now I'm kinda buying the idea.. its sounds like bs with the camera thing and infrared but if others tried it and say it works well thats pretty far out
