Taping a flare to an aerosol or gas can with % chance of it blowing up when you light it. I remember seeing a vid before dayz sa was released where rocket eats a tin of beans and then it poops out an empty can but this doesnt seem to happen at this stage in the game.. My point is there is perhaps some good crafting ideas using empty cans... example placing rocks in empty cans and set up a fishing line+ sticks defence perimeter that obviously alarms you of an intruders presence

I dont care what anyone thinks about this but I hope we will see a NV scope for a SVD rifle. :D

hell yes ! im a huge advocate for big industrial buildings... I could not believe most of them are not enterable in the stand alone ! sadface. I hope to hell they plan to gut them and make hallways and rooms.... those looming buildings could add so much credit, especially traveling the industrial zone at night not knowing what could be on any of the floors or rooms in the buildings over looking your pos

I dont see sleep as something beneficial to the game.. lets just use our imagination and agree that our chars already sleep when we log off and wake up when we log back in thats enough for me ^_^

How would you feel about random packs of savage dogs scavenging in a town that would attack players, therefore you have to defend yourself ? because I think its a great idea but fair enough with the no dog fights idea that has malicious intent on entertainments behalf, that is a bit crazy in a virtual world as well as RL

How about those big looming industrial brick buildings that are huge but are not enter able. They are covered in windows and such and most of them where in the original arma2. I hope we see some of them enter able one day and some new ones also. More big buildings with lots of floors and rooms. I would love to see the industrial zone of somewhere like cherno a very scary and unpleasant place to be, especially at night. You are only there if you need to be. Some of those narrow alley ways between the buildings over looking (being enter able) would add alot more character to those kinds of areas especially in the bigger towns along the coast.. The kind of area that alot of people wouldnt really check every room of every building unless you were sweeping with a small team of 4 or more. The kind of place that echoes creaking metallic sounds from the wind and the odd chance of finding a murderous hermit in his squalor on the top floor who went unfound for a long time. Anyway, as you can tell I have a fetish for industrial zones having more notoriety. So just any bigger buildings with floors and rooms especially office and industrial.. Some of the buildings in red orchestra are a great example but only as reference I suppose because its an entirely different region

I'm pretty sure its called " Pulling a shane " of walking dead Oh I found it

Exactly :D

Yes, I think the idea could be simple enough and shouldnt really have much of an impact on controlling the game in anyway. A bit of "non player made" back stories in the way of notes that inform you of goodies should be accepted as something else that adds atmosphere and immerses you in the environment like that of the weather effects or zombies moaning in the night

I've been into the dayz universe for almost 2 years now (anniversary soon :D) and as much as I love and understand the game I would still like to see something like the op suggests but on a very small scale.. --- randomly generated --- I'm thinking something as simple as a note of paper with some basic information on it found on an infected person. The note could explain something is hidden close by, example.. " Each night the infected numbers grow stronger.. It's just me and Anton left now..I cant take it much longer.. the moaning and the screams of the dead is all I can hear even in my dreams. I have to get out of this house. We plan to wait untill the cover of darkness and leave tonight.. we only have enough food for another day. Anton has a compass, lantern and a pistol which should help us get to the mountains where his uncle is or was living.." you get the drift, obviously the characters in the note didnt make it hence the supplies are in a house close by.. or maybe its been looted REGARDLESS.. great for immersion. The same idea could work for when locked doors are introduced and finding a key on an infected you have destroyed

I jus came back for a 2nd giggle and peak at this thread cause its been a week :D

indeed there use to be a key for server info when in the server

I dare say this idea has passed through many survivors minds from time to time and yes it would be super special idea.. I'm thinking the sound of a nest or group of birds being startled and flying off with the rustling of leaves and wings with squeeking alarms from their beaks would be great.. this could start of as a triggered noise/event than perhaps further down the track after a year or 2 it could actually become ingame models of birds flying off into the distance from said triggered location

Wow that's definetly one of the best I've seen.. The best dayz sa vids I had seen so far was people having the shit scared out of them by creepy people but this was FRESH :D

After I read your comment I thought my internet more than likely wont handle a 4K vid either and indeed I was wrong.. Only because I'm in Australia and we have the crappiest internet on the planet -
Yes spray painting the us flag of that masks would be great.. but seriously spray painting any mask would be awesome.. especially for creepn up on folks in the night moohahaa

I wish we were forced to interact with others to survive...

I think the key to people working together is simple... way to many zombies.. Im sure i watched a vid that mentioned they want to place 800 zombies alone in cherno some day.. I wonder how far from more realistic zombie numbers we are -
Should we all start off with a pistol in Dayz Standalone?
liquidcactus replied to Jossell's topic in General Discussion
I say no way also.. I think the game can be the best and most exciting when you first start a character.. And what adds to this satisfaction is the fact of having no weapon It feels more like classic survival horror especially at night, with only a torch and rags, having to move around undetected and avoiding as much as you can.. Then when you finally find a gun it feels very liberating -
When Does The " ALPHA!" Excuse End?

Its just a slow painfull wait buddy, I think some of us are confused time to time with the development but shit the game is so unique i think it can slide -
Yess, and sometimes just sometimes a safe house will have a note(s) or somewhat of a diary belonging to one of the people that was or is residing there. ^_^ I think when barricading houses ourselves becomes available it will add 10 times more depth. Especially chillin inside at night with some tinned sardines and a voiceless fuzzy radio reception under the dim light of a lantern and someone comes panicked and begging for you to let them in through the front door
