This is exactly it.. This fear topic keeps coming up every few months I've noticed and then this ^ is always the explanation that fits perfectly..I think the cannibalism kuru is a good idea and I would also believe it to be an experiment or sorts for this so called "Fear" or side effects as the first iteration

I dont think processed meat and any other for that matter would ever be found in a reasonable state to eat due to no electricity for refrigeration. Unless it was ...salami ?That's why meats need to be extracted from animals. I agree with pretty much everything else I would like to see diff sized bottles and containers. I remember playing zomboid with my brother and he had this idea for when we would visit eaCh house that we tried to loot. Filling pots with water and placing under the sink cupboards before we left. I would love to be able to do that in dayz but cupboards are not accessible yet

I hope one day we can also put sheets over windows to block light from the inside (ala zomboid) Obviously something like this wouldn't be to useful until we have this new renderer that will hopefully make light obey objects/buildings.. but yes regardless sheets should hopefully be a tangible thing in game one day in the future for multiple purposes as one would imagine.

Yes! I do remember that one :D all the way back in april.. wow.. glad no one told me back then we still wouldnt have any zombies in dayz to this day :P

This is a pretty good idea.. Leave the mongrel enough water and food than you log in 2 dayz later and the dog has shit all through your house and your character requires a gasmask for the noxious gas your best friend has created and turned your house into a GAS CHAMBER :D That maybe be taking things a bit far but dayz fantasies get me like that sometimes

I also cant wait for the safehouse creating/barricading.. I'm so intrigued as to how it will actually work.. boarding houses from the outside ? that could be fine if you use enough materials to cover the entrances but it wont be perfect.. boarding your house from the inside ? guarantees that no one is getting in but you are locked inside and need to use and have more materials (hammer, crowbar) to un secure the house to leave if you prefer to secure once you are about to log off

It's not a bad idea but like some of the chaps above have stated its kind of redundant.. perhaps something like this would have been more suited to that 2017 mod where shit was even more scarce than dayz and everyone looked like they had just stepped off the set of that kevin Costner apoc moofie where the world is full of water and bandits ride farkn jet ski's :D Apparently there was a new dayz 2017 coming out SOon just to get side tracked some...... BACK ON POINT CACTUS NO 1 CARES

17GB wow.. I thought you must have been dealing with some serious file sizes.. I have been using After Effects for almost 4 years and I still have so much trouble getting file sizes smaller ! I'm actually making a short film at the moment and using a plug in that converts real footage to cartoon and the files sizes are gigantic its rather emotional.. that's why I asked about your file sizes..I really need to work this shit out as I'm studying visual effects for film and file sizes reeeally matter.. think I will go post on adobe forums about this :D Anyway nice vids and I love the narration haha nice

Feature film from 50 hrs of gameplay ...shit man thats some dedication well done... what recording software do you use and is it free ? How did you handle all the movie files being large ? If they were large ? Did you render them in small pieces under a codec that keeps the file sizes small so the end product wasnt to large to upload to youtube? UPDATE LOL at 26 mins where someone is sniping you when you are inside the log house and you are standing in clear view in the open door way waiting to be shot ! :D NICE VID

I would love to see a business suit with a burlap sack over your head and wait.. just wait in a forest for someone to come along with a torch at night and role play as... SLENDERMAN ! But seriously I would love to see Business suit attire Welding goggles Overalls (to role play a murderous redneck in the wilderness when you get sick of being slender man) That's about all I can think of for now. -
I was checking out a survival clone game called "survive the nights" It has a camper can in it and it looked friggin awesome.. It had a working tap for water and a useable CB radio installed near the drivers seat and you could actually walk around inside it was pretty damn special thing for my face to see. Maybe you have seen or heard of STN ?

Yes totally, This will probably be touched upon around the time they put alot more detail and destruction debri among the squeaky clean streets. Sometimes I wish i could fast forward to 2-3 years in the future and see these things in the game. Such a wait indeed ! I guess the new renderer will have to be introduced before they would do any of this maybe ? I think the renderer was estimated for 1st Q2015 but hell I will have to see it to believe it !

Some great idea's I'm sure we have all thought of at some point.. I think a really rare commercial airliner crash site would be the tits to find let alone a military cargo plane which should spawn say once every 400 hrs considering its potential of loot

Remember the mod had a feature with the icon as a pistol - When anyone had use a weapon of any kind it would flash and you could not log out or there were repercussions ALSO - Your billboards are notes of paper.. we just need persistence to actually work properly and be persistent so notes can mean alot more to us.. People can leave notes in houses around a small town making people aware that they claim control the town or a twisted murderer could leave notes and or clues around letting passers by know the town is his lair for killing etc.. mmm.. dayz

I suppose in my dayz fantasy future items that are from the infected persons(ai) inventory has % change to contract a sickness to player
