Hmmm, crafted bolts.. I dunno about this.. i know its just a game but crafted bolts sounds a bit off.. My uncle owns a kick arse crossbow and upon investigation of the bolts they seem like the design is quite unique as in imitating them would need to be done by some kind of "Bushmaster, man bear pig of the outback" Having said this... I havent had alot of trouble hunting for bolts.. infact, in my opinion I think the rareness is about as good as it should be.. i think i have found perhaps 10 in say 4-7 hrs of game play.. then again thats a rough estimate for the time frame of finding them. I like it the way it currently is.. I would prefer the crossbow and its parts/ammo to stay the way it is to be honest (spawn rate, tho it will be more rare in the future ^_^).. just to keep that little bit of notoriety it has because it doesnt spawn anywhere near as much as most other weapons in my experience. I think it being one of the rarer weapons makes it that more admirable when you see someone with it :D

I think it will be introduced one day I'm sure... it would make people use the in game map alot more I believe

Somemajor swampage further inland I think would be ideal.. with a lot of very long grass obstructing vision would promote seedy behaviors and fore worn those who enter alone that anything could happen... ANYTHING...

Indeed RO2 is the first thing I thought when I read this topic... I love how u can just peer your head over the top of the cover as a quicker alternative to using the standard look over the top with your rifle aimed down range.. There is alot of awesome things in RO2 that most of us who have played it would love too see in dayz.. especially the slow fade to black death like someone posted about the other day on these here forums.

Are there any books that are actually readable yet ? I'm sure I have seen a video where a player opens a book where you can see a chapter list and gets handcuffed by a mad man carrying a lantern with a sack on his head but all the books I have picked up havent been able to let me read them ? But as for the skills and such with the books I really dont know.. like jurionov above said its kind of something I would personally not want to worry about considering how easy it is to be killed. I know alot of dayz is about trying not too care too much about your character but at the end of the day for me its more stuff(skills) to lose that would potentially piss me off. Mind you in this alpha stage of the game I'm still prety good at not being pissed off when I die :D

Dev tracker just announced arm bands today.. My idea is this - The result of torn clothes = rags.. the colour of the clothing should correspond to the colour of the rag *SHAZAM* you have arm bands.

Really ? wow thats unreal and sorry to hear that.. I've experienced mushrooms with freinds many times back in the day and although it was very wild and over whelming nothing ever super extreme ever happened (that was unsafe). I just recommend most to be in a positive environment and with people they trust and not be by themselves when they take it.. never be by yourself at night time either.. was he by himself ? To be honest i would doubt we will ever see this implemented but it could just distort colours etc because It would be impossible to capture anything else of what the drug does

I agree totally.. but i dont think you should see other players as zombies but more so the realistic kind of effects from magic mushies perhaps..enhanced colours and sounds etc. A well educated player would know what to look for.. we could see this one day..

Has anyone found the east suppresor anywhere other than xmas trees ? IE are they now spawning at military loot spawns ??

hahaa no way man! noooo way can we have players mics constantly on... thats a laughable idea ! This is an issue that we all think about from time to time but defs no mics constantly on..
