Jesus man who the fuck shit in your cereal ?? Snobby online child with no content and willing to bash others work, seriously post a link or dont be so negative.. If you were in the same room as he or she you wouldnt say anything now would ya ! Anyway.. not a bad video op.. what do you use ? after effects and alot of the twitch plug in ? Or RGB displacement :D I love after effects, I'm studying to be a visual effects artist.. long way to go. Oh yeah and fuck the hater who posted above.. keep it up, the video editing that is.. people will always be out to pick on you and put you down on the internet cause they arent face to face.. Anyway tahts my rant over !

That is right ! I mean where do we draw the line ? the last thing i think of when i play dayz is leaving death beverages for people.. but thats cause i play on a quite private hive.. but the same with drinking/eating loudness.. where do we draw the line ? as if anyone in their right mind eats and drinks so loud it can be heard far away.. maybe cracking a can of drink should be relatively loud but thats because it is.. I remember when i was 17 stealing xxxx beers from my brother and his room was way down the hall of the house but i still muffled the can when i cracked it cause it was somewhat loud and i knew he would hear it.. I'm sure there is a simple solution to the checking of potential "death" beverages and maybe it should be something as simple as "inspect contents" mouse roll option when you have a bottle in your hand.. or they could atleast do a visual difference for the water bottle being slightly.. and i mean ever so slightly "off" colour change of the contents in the bottle to catch the not so suspecting survivor off guard. We will see one day :D -

I think this is a funny subject. I mean as if you wouldn't smell the damn petrol as soon as you released the lid ? if you had petrol in a transparent water bottle you could tell its petrol straight away by the colour (well unleaded in aus is a reddish brown colour if i recall) but if what you say above is correct (which i think it is) when you place an item down from your char and it lays down as oppose to standing when spawned.. well maybe this should be your warning sign.. I just cant work out if we should have a "this smells funny" text pop up cause that would make life a little easy.. a smelling option to remember to use would be a little odd.. Anyway, maybe i need to remember this is just a ... game ? -
Pretty niche kind of idea.. something we may see with a mod perhaps doubt t the sa dev team would bother too much with this

Well i think perhaps a somewhat easier version of this idea that i have had in my head for a while would be... to set up empty cans on stuff to practice shooting.. empty cans will have a variety of uses in the future and this could be one of them for sure :D Maybe crafting x amount of paper or something we could have paper targets ? i seen an idea a while ago about leaving notes nailed into doors etc which would fall under persistence i would hope.. which would be super useful considering alot of players would miss other players messages anyway when they are just lying on the floor

I could imagine tools of the damaged and badly damaged status and finding worn is somewhat rare. Not to sure about food other than that of rotten fruit.. once rotten fruit has more of a purpose, lets say not killing you and only making you sick would be a great start :D

The never ending zombie debate.. to be honest i just keep telling myself "another 4 months then we will have some interesting zombies" but these 4 month at a time segments keep rolling by for the past 18 months so who knows :blush: .. but it is something that is so important for the game then so be it i spose.. I should check out the mod again actually since its almost been over 2 years since i played it

I think this bro has the right idea... only being able to do it to unconcious players is the way to go.. imagine how much more trolling bandity gayness there would be with being able to drag people while they were awake -
I'm defs down for any ideas where we can manipulate the map/objects for more unique situations/events..Even simple things like fireplaces in houses and ovens, etc adds a alot more depth to the map. PA control panel seems interesting. When Radio comms systems become more detailed and have more emphasis put on them in the way of making people actually want to use them I think it should be pretty exciting for players who are all alone will get alot more of a kick out of in game radio comm system then those in groups

Wow you put some serious effort into this and it really is an awesome idea.. i only read about half way I will have to finish it later.. There has been alot of end game ideas like this but none have really been logic and detailed like this one.. most people get sooky and be like " aww naa maan thats creating a stoOory for dayz " But we need epic ideas like this When most of the development is said and done (hopefully before 2026) hopefully an idea like this will flourish.. i remember dayz origins dabbled in some of this in a very crude kinda way but it was cool none the less even tho it was gamey and seemed more fictional there is and always will be room for something like this in vanilla dayz (and yes i understand it would be done 10 times better than origins)

Hell yes, film makers and the like have been getting it a bit wrong for a while now I think.. The video i posted is over a year old now but it really is a awesome glimpse into what dayz can become... imagine if the video was already what the game was like with the sound design.. even with so many little things to do in the game atm, the sounds (provided it isnt just ambiance) at night time would fuck with you hardcore :D
