I didn't produce it, it's a heatmap created by some guy named Telejunky. I only edited it to add the red arrows and rings. I believe he made it through making a program that tracks player movement.

Had a similar thing happen to me today about these false heroes. I was on Elektro schools roof, low on blood when I see a hero run into the convenience store. I beg for a blood bag and offer stuff like an M14 for it, he is silent and keeps looting buildings until he reaches the school. I try to talk to him in direct, and then he comes up to the roof, walks backwards into the doorway (And I guess he hasn't seen me yet, so I ask him for a bloodbag in direct) He ignores me, and goes the other side of the schools roof. I follow him and he has his back turned to me once again. I bump into him and say "Hey, could I get a bloodbag?" and he fires full-auto AK at me. Luckily he only hit once, and I was left with around 300 blood while he was dead. He had everything. Rangefinders, NV goggles, Coyote Backpack etc. That bastards name was Xope. Another thing that happened to me was when I found a car, I was surrounded by 3 heroes and they said "Get out, we need to go north". I answered "No, it's my car, but I can give you a lift :)". Around 100 shots were fired at me. Two of them had M4s, one of them DMR. They killed me and broke the car. Why.

The crossbow, even though it has a quiver feature now, is still sort of useless, because of the sights. It's hard to hit accurately with it, thus making it unusable in PvP at ranges greater trhan 20 metres. So proper sights are needed, because the iron sight on the crossbow doesn't work at the range that the crossbow can hit accurately. It would be very nice if every crossbow would have a 1/3 chance to spawn as a scoped crossbow, one with a telescopic sight, with about 4x zoom. Devs, pleeaaase.

I had played this morning and then taken a nap for 6 hours. I woke up, did some stuff, and then played DayZ. When it had loaded, I was at Pik Kozlova with 4 FPS. I tried joining another server, same problem. I joined 2 others, also same problem. I then though it was about time I actually optimized ArmA 2, so I did the ultimate optimization and tweaks guide. I then tested the FPS in ArmA 2 OA on Chernarus. I looked from Veresnik to the distance, and I got 120 FPS. I tried it again in Chernogorsk, 35-42 FPS. Pik Kozlova, I got 95 FPS. This is probably nothing wrong with my hardware, I have a pretty good graphics card, GTX660, and I could run ArmA 2 at around 100 FPS in the woods and 35 in cities. I'm pretty sure this doesn't have to do with graphics then, is it perhaps my CPU that has some problem with DayZ? It had ran just fine this week, I got a good around 30 FPS usually when playing anywhere, in the woods, in cities, in towns, in plains etc. and it was playable.

True story: This sniper had killed me once when I was just about to leave Elektrozavodsk. I wanted revenge, and spawned on Krutoy Cap, and hoped to find a weapon, any weapon will do, I just want my revenge. I traveled to Tulga and found no loot, but in one of the houses between Rog and Tulga, I found a DB shotgun in a shed. There was a pair of pellets behind it. I got hit by a zombie around 4 times getting these, and got an infection. I continued to Elektrozavodsk, and started checking the hill. I cautiously checked the sniper tree, no one there. I looked around a bit and was about to give up, and then this is where the video is. I noticed him and panicked, shot him and luckily, enough pellets hit to kill him (It said he died from blood loss, so if another pellet had missed, he would still have 2000 health). I looted him, DMR, M4A3 CCO, Coyote Backpack, Antibiotics, all toolbelt items, everything I needed. What happened later shocked me and I couldn't stop thinking about it for an hour. While I was going down the hill, I heard someone greet me in finnish. I continued running, greeted him and ran down the hill. I saw a bandit with a DMR following me. He spoke to me in finnish "What's up? What's your name? My name is hapa." I stopped breathing for like 8 seconds. How did he get a DMR that fast? How did he find me so quickly? It was the guy who I had just killed. I continued running and ignored what he was saying, hoping he would leave me alone. I had the M4A3 CCO on me. When he was still following me, but I had gotten some distance form him (Around 200m) I was about to take my DMR out when... It was GONE. I panicked and was really scared because I was sure he was going to kill me. I continued until I found this industrial building with some walls. I waited there for him to catch up, and then FULL AUTO STANAG 5.56 ALL UP HIS ASS. He had new spawn stuff and I noticed, it was my DMR mags, it was the same amount of bullets in them. I was shocked because of how fast he got back, how he sneakily somehow took my DMR without me noticing, and him just stalking me like that without killing me (My mind was in such pressure that it gave me a small headache). I had to take a break from DayZ for the rest of the day.

So I have decided to go for a sort of bandit-style playstyle. I rob people, kill if it's not possible. Ive now played for 7 days with this playstyle, but guess what... I've never gotten a proper kill or robbing. I always get revenge kills in self-defense, never have I started the battle against an innocent survivor. For example, I have gotten around 3-4 elektro sniper kills, but they always shot at me, and they are bandits, so yeah, no banditry there. Ive got around 4 murders, but 1 of them was a fresh spawn who kept trying to steal my M40 from my backpack, so I had to shoot him (Not really banditry since I did it to make sure he wouldn't kill me, not for loot) The 3 other survivor kills was some maniac who ran at me with a hatchet and these two survivors (One of them being a "hero") who had a car, and they didn't want to give me a lift (They just stopped, used the car horn, and when I got close, drove away and made a retarded laugh) and then they came back, and were looting the hospital. I stole the car, hid it, and went back to the city to loot for more, when I notice them. They notice me and start shooting a lot of shots at me, and I tell them I didn't steal the damn car (Lie). One of them sees the car somehow (?) and drives it to me and his buddy, but he ejects for some odd reason and breaks his leg + is bleeding. The car continues and crashes into his friend, making him unconscious. I saw this as a perfect chance, and proceeded to hatchet both. I took the car and their stuff, and drove away to Krasnostav, where I get killed by a bandit clan. I'm not exactly sure if this was an act of banditry, or just me getting my revenge. Ive even been recognized on some UK server as "Hero of Elektrozavodsk" for helping beach crabs and sniping Elektro campers :( What should I do?

Nevermind, problem is fixed now. I just tried waiting 3 hours and then joining a server with a higher population, and I'm getting good FPS. I'm guessing this is only a problem with official servers that have a population of less than 10.

I believe there is a launch parameter, if I remember correctly it's called -noPause. Just put that in a shortcuts launch parameters, or if you use steam, go to properties-set launch parameters. DayZ Commander also supports this in settings.

Thanks for the tips, the problem is not how cautious or how I fight in combat. I usually win in around 85% of encounters, even though I'm outnumbered, have worse weapons etc. but that's because I have spent around 1000 hours on ArmA 2. But yeah, the fear is a big problem for me. There is much more to lose if you die in DayZ than in ArmA 2, which always makes my heart rate go up to such a big amount that I cannot properly think. I guess I should just learn to stay calm. The actual thing I would need to learn though is how to properly hunt for players. I don't know how to properly stalk someone without losing him, I don't know how to deal with groups in DayZ (I know how to deal with them in ArmA 2, but in DayZ its different due to double health, less ammunition, and zombies). If you have any tips on actually finding players and stalking them it would be appreciated.

Suppresive fire is already in the game. Try shooting 1-3 shots around someone with rifle shots. Your aim will start flying everywhere and you won't be able to hit a crap from 150m and onwards with more than 50% accuracy.

The "Heroes" are actually bandits in disguise, exploiting the humanity system by healing the bandit. So in that way they aren't "true" heroes, and thus this feature wouldn't help much, since they probably speak in skype and are in a group together. In my opinion bandits shouldn't be able to be helped by other survivors, only other bandits. Would sort of balance the game and add a penalty for killing people.

Whoa, when I read the title I was preparing to flame you a lot since I expected a video where you shoot a lot of newspawns, but you just killed lots of snipers that do that. Great job, and nice vid. Title should probably be changed so people won't think it's some video where you are one of those campers.

I believe Zub and Rog are now high value military, and then go to Bor in case you don't find anything. If you're heading to Stary Sobor, its probably best to check Bor first and then Zub, since Zub is closer.

You could still do it, since people would have a good laugh. Your english is so bad that it's just hilarious, and that's a good thing! Considering you are a bloodthirsty psychopath anyway, you probably won't need to leave too many important messages to survivors, so just leave your thought and such and people might have a good time reading it. Anyways, this would be an awesome idea. I could leave diary notes, tell people who I am, what I do, and whats the latest rumours (Like if there is a bandit clan often camping Stary, I could warn others about it in say, Vyshnoye or something)

Actually the Chernarussian Defence Force uses UAZs and old soviet equipment, its the US that uses Humvees and the storyline in DayZ doesn't connect with ArmA 2 as far as I know, so the US probably never was there. The devs should really stop adding random stuff that doesn't fit to Chernarus, id love a proper story, and the ArmA 2 story is quite good, and would probably fit to DayZ as an alternate ending to the Chernarussian Conflict. The story would be like, the Chedaki get their hands on an very old soviet experiment, which is a zombie virus. It's an airborne virus and they release it at Green Mountain, and quickly everyone gets infected. The Chernarussian Defence Forces use gas masks to avoid this, and survive for a couple of days, but die in the end from zombies and bandits (Which would explain why there are a lot of non-infected dead CDF soldiers near military camps). The gas masks are not on anymore because the CDF soldiers have been looted.

Yes. That way you won't ruin the game for others, and add some challenge to your own. I have to try that.
