I am no expert but,,, Did you join a different server other than your own. I suspect the game will work. This has to be server files being corrupted or mis-matched.

What is the status of your character. Hungry. Energized. Healthy. Healing. One error that may occur is that your colors/colours do not update as should be. Go into options and simply click on the video category, this will update the graphics to match your actual health situation.

Sounds like you have a problem with your machine or config. I have pretty much the same build (i52500k) nearly everything on high and I've not had these problems that you speak of. I have been using the latest Nvidia beta driver and have noticed positive improvements for those of you that have a Nvidia GPU. Moved to Troubleshooting.
