This is a pro Tip. Once servers have been added to the Favourite tab : do this. Start game, accept the Welcome Screen. Open the Steam Server client and check the favourites' tab. Click join on the server of your choice. No more waiting for host or other little problems, straight into game... Might help, might not. Steam Historic is being worked on. -

What I think he's trying to say, although given the wall of text without the use of paragraphs, is that certain elements like having to hop to get a gun and getting killed by glitched Z's makes him "not want to play the game" ! As for the Topic title, I can only assume the server(s) are not connecting to the central Hive or are unable to fetch the character data, probably a connection issue, so I've moved this to Troubleshooting as it is obvious that he is having trouble.
