Lets hope all this duping will be fixed in the near future. A character total wipe will only happen in extreme circumstances, I doubt that duped items will be cause for such a measure.

I sharpen my axe on a regular basis. The means are there, why don't you use them ?

Have you verified your game cache and such ? I had some errors with duped items (unintentional + picked up from another player) that would crash my game. Please check your inventory.

Did you receive a message "failed to load item into hand" or similar ?

Verify your cache ? When you say every server I assume that includes DE-05 & DE-08 ? I played on both yesterday but I will check to make sure they are up and running.

:facepalm: Children, please stop squabbling, you are ruining the topic with your petty bickering. -
Draw/render distance needs to be increased above the 30ft (?), zoom will give a further view distance but if you are out of range nothing will show. Gas lamps give a better result and can be seen from afar. I left a backpack with the basics to survive and dropped three chem lights to lure players, not much use really with such a short rendering limit. Same for flares (known issue).
