That's the spirit :thumbsup: You may be surprised and find that your character will load, if the server had some connection difficulty with the central Hive. The Date is mission time, Oct 11 is a good date, it's a little chilly in the early morning & evening but not too cold, just wrap up well and you will be fine, keep a rain coat handy in case of autumn storms. Ideally the game will be real time depending on server location, hot summer evenings and freezing cold winter nights, brrrr, brass monkeys ! -

Stealth works, I crept and looted both Tulga & Mysta without incidence until.... I found a tent in Mysta so decided to leg it which aggroed a Z, I was able to out run it with tent in arms and it eventually gave up the chase. I have pitched my tent, will it be there when I log in ? TBC !

This type of reaction was expected, the game in its current state pre 0.55 was in fact too easy and had everyone feeling comfortable and at ease with the knowledge that gear was easy, Z's were not a threat and the risk factor from game elements were near zero, the only real risk came from other players. A lot of people are going to have trouble adapting, including groups that live from looting small towns for ready to eat food stuff,,, 3 cans of beans, 2 pipsi's and 2 courgettes(?) will not feed the 5000, add to that the small town will not stock up on server restart now that persistence is active. Please keep in mind, this is a major update and a lot of tweaking will be required before a proper balance is established. Any bugs found should be reported in the Bug Tracker. Patch notes coming later... (Lazy Devs) !

The Map will not be expanded any more than existing boundaries. This has been stated in the past by the Devs. I believe that when the game is fully release and the tools are prepared there will the possibility to create new maps.

Reset to default or remove the config files found in : My Docs/DayZ You screen should be set to the native resolution, check aspect ratio.
