It is a server side setting. It may well be marked as Regular but have name tags off, crosshairs off, 3rd person view on. Some allow map markings, some not. The problem I have is remembering which server has what.

My character at the moment is ill, very very ill. I was attacked at Komorova but managed to run away after patching myself up using all of my medicine and bandages. Health is a little less than 4000. I decided to go to the Hospital. I ran through Balota in between the rail tracks and the military camp, I had about "a lot" of Z's on my tail, out of the question to "stand and fight". I ran to Chernagorsk picking up many more fans along the way. I made it to the ladder leading straight up to the roof at the hospital and collected some much needed blood bags, pain killers. The Zombies are of coarse screaming and hurling at the bottom of the ladder. Being a clever little survivor I had 3 magazines for my little pistolof in my Alice. I climbed down on to the lower roof, with terrible shakes and lose of vision, I managed to kill the infected hoard by running along the roof to and fro, each time giving myself time to aim. I killed em all. I climbed down to the ground and lo and behold there was a dead survivor near to the wall of the appartment block just North of the hospital. In his kit he had BeanZ & Pasta, I ate. My health is now at about 3400, I am cold, shaking and seeing in greyscale but I have blood bags in my backpack and a AK47(?) Kobra with 2 chargers...ôô...,that the unfortunate survivor has kindly left me. Problem is, who do I trust to come and administer the blood that I have in my kit. That is the only way I know to escape the rabid hoards...Not recommended.

If both of you have a map and the server that you are playing on allows it, did you know that... Double clicking a location on the map with the LMB will give you a marker which you can name in the dialog box that appears, also you can change the icon style with the up & down arrow keys. Hit the ENTER key and the marker will be visible. Your friend will now be able to see the same marker on his map. How you get to the meeting place is another problem but a compass does help a lot ! Might help, might not.

I'm going to move this to the Troubleshooting forum. @KoRnage ,please give a discription of how you are trying to install the game, it would help.

Take what you need and relace with wood piles or something equally useful. Personally I replace beanZ with road flares... ô ┐ô

Are you launching the game using the ArmA2/CO path. If you start the game with ArmA2 only, you may get this error. Might help, might not.

The latest version of 'equip' is 1.2.5. It would be wise to re-download and install again. Make sure he has put it in the @dayz/addons folder and not somewhere else. I've made the mistake myself.

I do not understand why, I have just down loaded while reading this Thread. Try again is all I can suggest. I'm using IE, if that makes a difference...

I have done so but using vanilla ArmA2, not while mods are loaded. Make a copy of your original profile and rename to your newly created profile. Copy and replace.

It helps if the server requires the latest beta + = everybody in game also.

I'm still here. Show a video with this "stroboscopic effect" in game (not easy at 30fps I know). System spec's. Video card. Driver version and in-game setings. To fix a "bug" you must be able to reproduce or at least gather enough elements to identify the problem. What I see in the previous video is normal. Carry on. I have recieved a PM, so... Ok, this is, as far as I understand a result of being attacked by Z's and simulates a general hurt/panic and eventually a lose of health status. It may well occur when injury is inflicted through other means. I do not see this (personally) as a bug or glich. I have watched the video and understand that it may well be problematic for some. I will how ever bring to you notice that every "Video Game" comes with a Warning concerning side effects=== Thank you, I will bring it to the attention of those concerned. Have fun.

I can not find an exact answer to your question but it seem that your game files are corrupted. If you are using a Steam build please "verify the integrity of your game cache". If that is not the case then I suggest that you re-download your game files. Looking at your system build you are very much on the edge, this however should not provoke this error. Good luck...

I believe there is a addon that will (nearly) do this in vanilla ArmA2. I doubt it very much for DayZ. If you did manage to find some way, it would not work on-line. I would say, "No"!

Lean left, lean right, repeat (the lean dance) Salute. Sit down. Surrender. All can be found in the control settings.

Create a profile in vanilla ArmA2/CO, set your controls. Then start up with the dayZ mod enabled. Thats what I would do.
