No, I'm in €urope and you, my dear friend, are in the wrong Forum. However, I sometimes play on servers with a ping of 150/200 mainly in the US of A without much problem (depending on time and player count). The Australian Servers are quite active if not numerous.. I have been playing all afternoon without being hacked. I Therefore Declare this game Officially Playable... Also...This Thread Locked. "Thank you for taking the time to participate in the on-going development of the DayZ Mod project. Please feel free to return if and when you have the time and motivation." Shame about the hackers everywhere, but the game was made to be modified, fingers crossed for the Stand Alone.

First things first.. Make sure you are trying to join a server that is running the same build/s as you. Myself for example I am with DayZ 1.7.2.5 and using beta 95417 (later beta's have given me problems, including the loading screen). I use ArmA Launcher by SpiritedMachine but this requires that you create a folder : @dayz and within, another folder named addons. Put the required DayZ files into the addons folder... Sounds complicated,,, it's not. Here is the link http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8241 Once you have mastered the @/mod/addons you can mix and match any modifications you wish. There are other ready to wear solutions but I have no use of them. Just get the game running without any beta (official ArmAII/CO build) before mucking about with beta'a and such. The Servers are overloaded this week-end, what with all the up-dates. You have trouble ::: go to the Troubleshooting Forum.

The game plays well, hackers are rife (havn't seen one for a few days), choose carefully your server and last but not least,,, post in the correct Forum...

I had to revert back to 95417 to get into a 1.7.2.5 DayZ build. Things are all over the place at the moment, different beta's + different DayZ + no so much 6U. Bloody shambles really. Oh! I forgot , its an Alpha build Threads merged.

Rocket & C° write the code for DayZ. If he wants wind + velocity and any other odd thing added to sniper rifles or whatever, I'm sure he'll work it out. Not everybody is ACEaholic, btw. Also ::: You MAY NOT run any other mods, or keys. This is one of the Rules concerning Servers.

Happened to me when I installed the latest beta 95883 which had me stuck on the loading screen. I reverted back to my previous beta 95417 and spawned in Elektro ( :facepalm: ). Also with 95883 beta no players were showing in the player list. Also, also servers are not showing with latest beta build (admin report). Also, also, also I think this is very likely related to different Hive versions mixed with different beta + DayZ builds.... Anyway, moving to Troubleshooting because its troublesome. Thanks.

The loading screen does not mean that your game is broken, just use the SEARCH function to find out. Make sure you are running the same ArmAII build as the server you are trying to join, that is good advice but does not always work. >:( . Same goes for the DayZ build,,,,,,,, 1.7.2.5 and 1.7.2.4 are the most common at this time. I am running DayZ 1.7.2.5 with beta 95417 which works when I join a server with the same. I installed beta 95883 this morning and got stuck on the loading screen, down graded to my previous 95417 and things are working again. If you have problems concerning the installation of different mods for ArmAII/CO go to the BIS Forums for advice. Do not post instructions here on how to get DayZ working with different modifications/Islands. You MAY NOT run any other mods, or keys. This is one of the Rules concerning Servers. If you play on such servers you are not helping in anyway whatsoever.

Moving to Troubleshooting. FYI, I installed 95883 this morning with the latest DayZ build (1.7.2.5) and guess what ::: stuck on loading screen ! Downgraded to 95417 and the game works/loads. Don't ask me why....

Please use the SEARCH function, or at least lôôk around before making a Thread in the wrong place. Moved to correct Forum.

Threads Merged. Why does everybody have to start a new Topic when there are already a whole bunch of em on the same page. Stick together, if you have the same problem as another guy, let him know, show support. One decent Thread will get a lot more response than seven (7),Threads that nobody looks at because there are already seven (7) Topics on the same page. I forgive the people that have no idea how a Forum works... Thats a lot of forgivness :facepalm:

Yesterday.. A unarmed person, surprised me (he hacked himself in), spoke over the direct channel, "need anything ? just show me your tits" ! I play girl. I answered, "no thankyou I'm a married man".. I thought to myself "he's a bit dodgy" and ran of towards the woods. When I checked my backback, I had everything, GPS/NVG's a BFG and more besides... The problem is that I don't want all that shyte, I had a Winnie with loads of slugs/ steaks/ morhine injectors to spare, matches, knive, axe. Hacked, good and proper.... Killing the game.
