The Forum was hacked in mid July and had to be reset, since then we have implemented a Password change Module which is proving problematic for some, although this has nothing to do with your experience you may be asked to reset your password. If this occurs there are a couple of things that might help (or not). Clear out any login cookies that may be stored on your computer and log in from the main page of the Forum (not while in this section for example). Yahoo and Hotmail are authorised, although you should be aware that certain Forums do not allow validation from Hotmail or other not so sure mail account providers. Thank you for taking the time to report the errors.

You may discus the 1.7.8 build but remember it is for testing purposes and may be updated at any time. Your impression after only a short while of play time is not really relative in Pure DayZ. Life expectancy is still very short. If you have been playing some of the other DayZ conversions, coming back to the real DayZ will be difficult. My last life in the previous test build was 13 dayz. The current build is, imho a little easier to survive than the previous because of crafting possibilities and other medical items to be found. I am led to believe that you have at your disposal the "cook book" in your journal. Don't give up after such a short time of play, some of us have been battling away for months. As far as cans are concerned, I recommend the Ravioli, it has such a sweet taste of,,,oh, what is the word, satisfaction ! Don't forget to pick up some wipes on your way out. Server restarts are a pain we have to live with, even the test server has the need. Try again.

Password asked = Whitelisted, get in contact with Server admin. Hive = where your player data is stored, guns /beanZ / Z's killed .... As a rule Private Hive is limited to one server only but some Server Hosting Co's have a limited shared Hive (?) Public Hive, you may change server and keep your gear, requires official DayZ 1.7.7.1 build.
