I had been following Rockets topic on the BI Forums with interest but nothing more when one of my boys asked me (much to my surprise) to buy him a copy of ArmA II. What forZ says I, zombies sayZ he. That was in late April, the 20th or so when there were only a handful of servers and "waiting for server to respond" became an excuse to walk teh dog or burn bacon ;) Joined the Forums shortly after they went live (27th April iirc) to ask in a hot topic why I was "waiting for server to respond". 01 May 2012. This is due to legacy control options. What you need to do is remove any conflicting commands or give another setting. For the Move Forward command you must go to the View menu and deselect/re-bind the zoom command. Some commands may be hard set although I cannot confirm this, you will have to experiment. When the command is in red does not mean there is conflict, one of the beauties of ArmA/BI/DayZ control system is the ability to map more than one command to the same key/mouse button. For example Toggle Lean Left/Right will also serve as Evasive Left/Right, as will Go Prone will not cause conflict with the UP command, when you are prone it (UP) will raise your stance by increments, crouched / standing. Another example from ArmA III (and soon DayZ) I use is UP/Prone/Crouched mapped to the mouse + & - sensitivity buttons but also for engine on/elevation up/down while flying a helicopter, or turbo when driving a road vehicle, all on the + or - mb's. The Bohemia control system is complex and confusing at first but once mastered there is none better. So to resume, each control category has its own group, Infantry/View/Vehicle/Inventory... (depending on game/& development progress) and will not necessarily cause conflict if used intelligently, do not forget it is possible to delete a command/key bind, if not required. Good luck with that, many a head has been scratched in the past, you are by no means the first, nor the last to be left flabbergasted when first encountering DayZ/ArmA control configuration. Might help, might not.

Might be a problem on your end but could well be due the the current audio system not being worked on as such. Left earpiece sound volume is lowered sometimes. (was acknowledged some time ago).The whole audio system is being worked on so you may have to wait until it is ready, unless someone can confirm otherwise.

Ok guys, you've had your fun. OP is a known entity and only comes out when the full moon is rising. As for Exile, been there, done that, gameplay has no depth or innovation, started off alright but went downhill quickly with all the server admins doing whatever they wanted. Only playing Exp (when available) but will play both 1st & 3rd pp for experimental purposes. Preference (Stable) will always be 1st person unless playing with my noob teammates, when playing solo, always 1st person. Don't turn this into a 1st vs 3rd debate, it is not the subject.

It might be possible to allow armband/rags to be attached to cowboy hatZ. I like the basic idea :thumbsup:

My position has not changed, however I am interested in the discussion and getting an idea of how our members feel at this time in development concerning the problem, that is why the Topic is still alive, I have also mentioned and reported the situation to the Devs. Do not forget that the real fault lies with the Server admins that do not adhere to the agreement, this is why you should report those servers, report, report, report & report again, flood the GSP providers & the FT with reports, force their hand, what happens after is beyond reach as players but at least your duty has been done. Do not believe that action is not at all taken, I have seen results on several occasions. The fact that some failatlife pays money to gear up is not a game breaker imho, it is annoying, should not happen and is against the hosting rules, so Report the server and keep your fingers crossed that one day action will be taken. Getting rid of the Public Hive (as someone suggested) is not an option in my opinion, if you want to play on populated servers (and I do) with a diversity of different and never before met people, public servers are the only real available choice. Keep on Reporting those join/kick servers, the day will be won !
