That is seven months old and a lot of things have moved on since then, I've no idea why you have posted this ! Oh well, I'll leave it up for our new members, just in case.

Go to your Docs/DayZ Profiles/other profiles and remove the cfg files. Validate game cache with the Steam tool provided. Might help, might not.

Come back when youv'e done your basic traing and a couple of night time map reading exercises. Half a map, three reference points and a compass, I could get you there in time for breakfast.

If you joined a Server running Vs 113953, which was relesed today there will be a BE notice. You may have to restart the game once you have downloaded the update/BE. If you have for some reason not updated your game to Vs 113953, please verify the game cache with the Steam tool provided.
