    SKS : can't hit over 200m

On target 2 Mosin is about 88% at 200m, SKS 32% at 200m.

    SKS : can't hit over 200m

Those were incorrect, they are fixed now. It's more like 1-in-3 odds at 200 meters.

    SKS : can't hit over 200m

    Here: Odds of hitting target "1" (headshot) 75% = 50 meters 50% = 60 meters 25% = 85 meters 10% = 135 meters Odds of hitting target "2" (torso) 75% = 130 meters 50% = 160 meters 25% = 225 meters 10% = 360 meters The numbers aren't exact because I rounded them off earlier. Edit: Fixed.

    SKS : can't hit over 200m

Less trouble, flatter shooting and better sights.

    .22lr Damage is absurd.

Sounds like Mark Coates. Some of you might find the story interesting. Note the bolded parts. "Corporal Mark Coates was shot and killed after stopping a car for weaving in traffic on I-95 near the Georgia border. During the traffic stop the suspect began to struggle with Corporal Coates and they both fell to the ground. The suspect fired a .22 caliber handgun into Corporal Coates' chest, but the round was stopped by his vest. Corporal Coates was able to force the man off of him and return fire, striking the suspect five times in the chest with his .357 caliber revolver. As he retreated for cover and to radio for backup, the suspect fired another shot. The round struck Trooper Coates in the left armpit and traveled into his heart. The suspect survived the incident and was sentenced to life in prison." Placement > caliber. Ideally it would be the same in the game.

    SKS : can't hit over 200m

SKS is not supposed to be a long range weapon nor particularly accurate. 1 meter diameter circle at 200m. Right now the accuracy is messed up. MP M4A1 = 6.9 MOA Mosin = 8.6 MOA SKS = 17.2 MOA M4A1 = 40.6 MOA I don't care if they exaggerate the dispersion a bit (that's big-picture vs detail-oriented realism). But the exaggeration should be consistent for all weapons.
  8. Actually that's just to deal with US import laws. The Saiga must be imported in "sporting" configuration due to the 1989 import ban. Or whatever. It's hazy, I'm lazy. In non-US countries you can buy it "as is", with either style of stock. It tells you right on the Izhmash website: "The "Saiga-12" shotgun is manufactured in four versions: "Saiga-12", "Saiga-12S", "Saiga-12K", "Saiga-12S ЕХР-01". Saiga-12 Saiga 12S Saiga 12K Saiga 12S EXP-01

    Why are 22's such shit

I suggest you don't try that "Last week, a Burke County man was shot in the leg by a 17-year-old half a mile away. The boy had received a .22-caliber semiautomatic rifle as a Christmas present, sheriff's deputies said. "It felt like about 50,000 volts hit me right in the leg. I don't know if you've ever been shocked by electricity, but my whole right leg just went numb," Huskins said from his home, where he was recovering. "I really didn't know what to think." The bullet slammed into his right femur and shattered into about 15 pieces that doctors decided to leave in; they said surgery to remove the bits would do more harm than good."

    I sugges four things

In most countries rifles and shotguns are more common than handguns. They are far more useful to hunters and sportsmen. They are often less strictly regulated than handguns. Long guns often remain available in places where pistols are outright banned.

    100 Round Beta-C Magazine (5.56x45mm NATO)

    There's already files for a 100-round C-Mag, it hasn't been configured and added yet. It's black. There's also a flat-dark-earth version.
  12. I see Saiga is the most unpopular shotgun. Don't know why, because it's not an uncommon firearm, especially in countries (like Russia) where smoothbore guns are easier to obtain than rifles. I think some people hate on it because [a] it's semi-automatic and it looks "military". Anyways I dislike the MTs-255, seen that suggested so many times on Reddit and I make sure to downvote it every time. The gun is expensive and uncommon. Outside of Russia proper, exponentially less likely to be seen. I also believe it's been discontinued except for pricey single orders. It's more expensive toy than practical weapon. I also don't see what it would add to the game. A shotgun that holds 5-rounds, I can think of many others that would fulfill that role more appropriately.

The New Hunting Rifle And Pistol

I totally disagree, I can see no problems with the idea. If anything it would be more balanced and people would think twice before launching themselves into hairy situations.

The New Hunting Rifle And Pistol

They need to give bullets a chance of causing internal bleeding. Not "you have crafted rags" bleeding. The serious stuff, more often than not resulting in death. You might not die right away, but a single round from any gun could potentially take you out. There's always the odd stories where a stray .22 bullet came down and killed someone hundreds of yards away. Guns shouldn't just take little bites out of some large health pool, being completely impossible to kill them with a single shot to the torso.

    Mosin the pistol?

It would be total junk. -bolt-action -too big -too heavy -no sights (cut off) -no accuracy -huge flash -huge noise Any "real handgun" would be much superior.
  17. Uh, more like in the 5 million range as of 2012 (50th anniversary)...

    Are OHKO from fists realistic?

It's based on common every-day measurements. A foot is obviously based on the length of a human foot. That made more sense to people in centuries past than a meter, which doesn't correspond to anything they could see. Same stories for other measurements. A mile: "The Romans, when marching their armies through Europe, were the first to use the unit of long distance mille passuum, where each pace or stride was two steps). When marching through uncharted territory, they would often push a carved stick in the ground after each 1000 paces." In addition metric is also guilty of arbitrary measures: In addition they STILL don't have a proper definition for the kilogram. They're still looking for one. You guessed it... "Since 1889 the magnitude of the kilogram has been defined as the mass of an object called the international prototype kilogram" So no need to be an ass because another person's measurement system doesn't use base 10.

    .22lr Damage is absurd.

One thing I've seen which I don't like is that some players are reporting the .22 is a "knock-out gun". Shoot someone in the head and they are simply knocked out for a short time. Some people seem to like this concept because it allows for non-lethal incapacitation. I think that's absolutely ridiculous, nonsensical, absurd, has no merit whatsoever, should be changed ASAP - if you want to be non-lethal, you shouldn't shoot people in the head!

    .22lr Damage is absurd.

"I think the muzzle velocity is all wrong as people are reporting that the .22lr rounds are tracers" Nope it's fine. For the rifle, at least. The problem is that they included the following line of code: You can probably guess what that does... Tracers should occur if you chamber a single round. Loading full magazines should produce no tracers.

"I love the way this gun forces me to get some extra headshot practice, in addition it's also great for having non-lethal firefights between friends"
