It will do about or exactly the same damage as the SKS. Appears to be intended to be more accurate than the basic M4A1 but this could change (1.48x better than standard M4A1, 1.64x better than CQB stock) but the values right now give it 0 dispersion which I assume is just something overlooked and will be fixed before it's introduced.

If it were up to me the Magpul would just be cosmetics... one person might prefer stock A, and another person stock B. You can't replicate tiny details in game so I would leave it as exactly that - player A might prefer Magpul, player B might prefer USGI, neither would be "necessary" or provide a huge advantage. Just provide a bit of individuality to people's guns. That is closer to real life. The Magpul forend would however come with some short railed sections to be able to attach things... that's about it.

It wouldn't take more space because the short versions are used with folding stocks (that is, if they have stocks at all it would be folding and not fixed... almost all special forces and police etc seem to use regular MP5s and not -Ks). So just fold it up if you want to put it in your pack... or if you want to blast away while looking cool. Or unfold it if you want to be serious. Folding stock is best of both worlds... no stock, meh...

There are dozens of types of 870s... we already saw what we are getting several months back. Just give me a standard 870 Express. Hacksaw would let players cut it down.

That also has no handguards so it's possible the stock will come as a separate attachment. If it does not spawn with a stock I would be greatly annoyed, I assume the origin for these is police or military, and police or military would issue these with folding stocks. The stock should not be something you have to go searching for. I see the rear sight is the castle type for the standard MP5K and not the diopter which comes with MP5 or MP5K-PDW which kind of sort of suggests it will spawn with no stock...

The MP5 is supposed to be more controllable and more accurate... it is well known for those qualities. The UZI is simpler.

You're thinking of suppressors. The Mosin compensator is a bipod which doesn't require the prone position.

(Uh... not sure exactly how that relates. I'm not 100% happy with any of the gun choices in SA) I don't find all HUDs unrealistic, in a sim they are there to provide information you get in real life but is not feasible to present in a game. Example, wind, I like the ACE arrows method. Same with weight of objects. Hunger. Thirst. If my leg is broken or not. These are things you know in real life. You can't tell them from looking at your screen. I can know what position I flick a safety or selector to whether I'm looking at it or not. The "look at your weapon" sounds like something that would work better with TrackIR. With Alt+Mouse I don't see it working very well. And why don't they give us this information in the meantime, we have "zeroing" information but nothing for the selector? Anyways, all those little constant messages popping up? That is a HUD! Personally find "you feel thirsty", "you feel thirsty", "you feel thirsty" just as distracting, or more so, than having a little icon...in real life I know how thirsty or hungry I am so I do not consider an icon "unrealistic".

Geneva did not ban triangular bayonets... I remember looking this up since I had heard the same thing... as well about rusty bayonets, sharp bayonets, and .50 caliber bullets (ie: "shoot at the enemy's clothing since that is considered equipment"). The Hague convention banned certain weapons including: "rt. 23. Besides the prohibitions provided by special Conventions, it is especially prohibited (a) To employ poison or poisoned arms; (b) To kill or wound treacherously individuals belonging to the hostile nation or army; © To kill or wound an enemy who, having laid down arms, or having no longer means of defence, has surrendered at discretion; (d) To declare that no quarter will be given; (e) To employ arms, projectiles, or material of a nature to cause superfluous injury; (f) To make improper use of a flag of truce, the national flag or military ensigns and uniform of the enemy, as well as the distinctive badges of the Geneva Convention; (g) To destroy or seize the enemy's property, unless such destruction or seizure be imperatively demanded by the necessities of war." but nothing specific about triangular bayonets. Also I found that people, even at the time these were still in common use, seemed to be of mixed opinion of what caused more severe wounds... Boone & Crockett has the record brown bear as taken in Alaska in 1952 by Roy Lindsley. He used a .30-06. A bolt can kill someone in one shot... so will a bullet. False. Your link shows no useful information, merely some random forumers casually chatting. Please find an actual source that supports your claim. -

Lemme toss up a little doodle. Not only is the crossbow longer than the M4A1, it's also wider than the length of the M4A1. As for weight, they are about the same. Does a crossbow have the ability to shrink itself and defy the pull of gravity? No? Well, in that case crossbows should not be treated any differently from other weapons or items. If you can do rifle plus crossbow, you can also do rifle plus rifle... there should not be any discussion on this subject limited only to crossbows because that makes no sense. -
It's based on real life, so here is what is there "in real life". HOWEVER in real life the whole region also has more buildings, more apartments, more roads, more infrastructure, more population. Not just a bit more, exponentially more. Huge mall complexes don't belong on the map, don't care if they were in "Dawn of the Dead". Grocery stores and supermarkets are fine.

I'm not a fan of the idea of having to look at the side of the rifle model to check my firing mode. I have no doubt doing so will feel super clunky... and in real life you can just check it with your darn fingers. And as people never fail to mention... Rocket did say he was going for authenticity and not zee strikt realism, no?

Guess the speed imparted to the man in this simple collision... the answer is 0.082 ft/s. Almost nothing. The rag doll should barely be affected by bullets, it should depend almost entirely on the movement and position of the player prior to being shot... and I suppose if they give the objects correct mass and such this is what will happen. So stationary and "instant kill" could result in falling in any direction really. -

We had a mass stabbing here, too. Five people stabbed to death. Weapon used: kitchen knife. A "combat knife" is not necessarily any more deadly, the advantages are usually a more secure handle and guard and a more robust blade and grind. I posted these comparisons before... You can see they are all quite similar... a kitchen knife can be very deadly. However many people do not bother to keep theirs sharp. The grind seems to carry the thickness well towards the tip. Of course this is a knife which appears designed with stabbing (and style) in mind rather than pure utility. -
No accuracy perks, that is silly... just cosmetics and atmosphere thank you very much.
