Both the RGD-5 and M67 have 4 second fuses. The M67 and RGD-5 have a direct hit value of 20, translating to 22220 blood damage. Indirect hit is 18, translating to 17998 blood damage, and the indirect hit range is 7 metres (23 feet). That means it does 22220 damage at 0 metres, and 17998 damage at 7 metres. At 14 metres it will do 8999 damage. At 21 metres it will do 4500 damage. Damage continues degrading linearly out to the maximum range of 28 metres.

Maybe he has a low-resolution monitor? I'm sure there are people playing on refurbished Commodore 64s. It's the German KSK scout skin, by the way.

Zombies aren't realistic, that can't be helped. What can be helped is not adding in AA-12s, XM8s, Avro Arrows, Hattori Hanzo swords and kung-fu fighting systems. If people want an AA-12 they can put it in their private hives and leave the rest of us to enjoy a more sane experience. Because weapons should try to reflect the setting and Rocket's "authentic" goal for the game, not adding in practically non-existant stuff because it's cool and it's in Battlefield.

I agree with the core principle. -
That's all good and fine, except AKs are native to the region and there are literally tens upon tens of millions of them. The AA-12 hasn't been adopted by anyone and there could easily be only a few dozen. Statistics are not available. Why would they make more if they have no sales? They don't need many for demonstration purposes. There aren't going to be "warehouses full" of AA-12s, I don't buy it. There aren't going to be warehouses full of any unusual prototype weapons.

Nanny always said to chew 72 times before swallowing. I'm all for this. Wasn't there an early 20-th century health nut who had a little jingle about the virtues of a good chew? Something along the lines of "Masticate before you... mastication... rejuvenation..." Hell, can't remember it now. -

I was going as "Rainbow Dash" or "Goose", with the forum name "Gews", but BalotaBuddies requires that one's in-game name match the name on their forum and in their Teamspeak, so a change to "Gews" was necessary. Overly specific situation? Yes :lol: but still... -
Now they're switching the M24 to .300 Win Mag, so it was a fortunate decision to go with the long action.

Because people like the switch things up. What if more than one person would like to have the name Jimmy Rustles? Only one could be the true Jimmy Rustles. Many poor souls would be forced to take inferior names, like Jimmeh Rustles or Jimmee Rustles, or God forbid, J1mmy Rustl3s. I don't swap names at random, but in some cases it is necessary. I also like naming myself whatever I choose without having to add numbers to the end or change the spelling. I don't mind some form of easily accessed player identifier but I wouldn't like it to be the screen name. -
Is there vehicles in official servers?

From what I understood, the helmet will only protect against melee attacks like the hatchet or crowbar. I hope I understood right!

Hello everyone. Okay, here is my problem: I haven't got a chance to play the game, yet I have owned ArmA for about a month and have been trying to get it to work on my computer. I have Windows 8 and I bought Combined Operations from Amazon. I have downloaded everything I thought I had to. I also got DayZ Commander and installed everything, but I get this message when I go join a server: adm addon misc, so on and so forth. Can anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I really want to play this mod.

Bahaha, this reminded me of that scene in Jurassic Park III where the guy sees abandoned vending machines and starts counting his change, asking if anyone has an extra few quarters, and then the practical guy just comes and kicks the front glass in.

There are already some bloodstains in ArmA that appear on players faces, arms, legs, body, if they take a certain amount of damage there. Dead players can have large holes in their face if they've been shot in the head. Of course those are pretty basic and low-res. I assume it's just a matter of changing the textures to make something more visible and realistic. If footprints could be implemented, I assume blood trails could be as well. -

Don't support, too silly. I don't mind limbs being blown off via grenade, though. I don't think even a .50 BMG would take off a leg. Of course it's possible it could dismember someone if it hit them right, but I doubt it would be par for the course. It definitely wouldn't blow them in half. There are a couple well-known videos on Youtube of "Taliban" being shot by it and exploding, but those "Taliban" are actually little critters called rock chucks. It will definitely make a big hole in someone. With Raufoss ammunition... yep, it could take off a limb or leave it hanging by threads. Gore gore gore... :ph34r: I don't mind ragdoll gore during firefights, but it's not going to happen. Far too much work, and too much of a performance hit. -
Fun fact: A CZ550 will run you about $800 less scope, a new M24 will run you (as a civilian, if you can find one) about $7000... gah! Price gouging... <_<

Oh, about my last post, I was thinking ahead, to the standalone. Right now we don't have any suitable replacement for the .50 cals (except the KSVK, but that's another .50 cal). I think the AS50 should go (uses .338 sound, bugged mil dots, and bugged damage) and be replaced by the KSVK. I don't mind keeping the M107. Meh' date=' not in terms of sniper rifles. Civilian long-range rifles are every bit as good as the military stuff. Check out this GA Precision in .243 Winchester: [img'] or this Surgeon XL in .338 Lapua I don't find hunting rifles boring either, this Weatherby Mk.5 would be nice or guns like the Ruger Scout I posted the other day, or the semi-auto Browning BAR

I don't understand the overpowered complaints either (killed by a .50 caliber once, only once), yet I don't want these rifles in the game. I think it's unrealistic survivors would want to carry around a 30-lb rifle with magazines that weigh 4 lbs a piece! I want to be blown apart in one shot at 1200m ranges by .338 Lapua rifles, or .300 Winchester Magnum, etc... would do the same job, just more believably. Just my 2 cents.

Wasn't there a thread on here about player-generated trash and garbage, etc? I guess people could drink themselves to death. That would explain all the empty whiskey bottles.

It would help destroy immersion. People would be blowing their brains out all over the place (all over the place, ha), especially new spawns. In real life people generally try their utmost to survive. Call of Cherno is already bad enough. In this case, players should be forced into a certain playstyle. I call it the "stay the fuck alive" playstyle.
