Slugs. Pellets would look like so: 000m: 1980 blood 100m: 1169 blood 200m: 690 blood There are 9 pellets. Of course that's not very "practical" information since you'd never hit anything at those ranges unless you unloaded with an AA-12. :lol:

Could work, I wouldn't pick them up though, they'd be too weak to kill a player without a headshot. They already did this, I had to completely change my loot runs. 6.5x55 please.

But then you have the inconsistency of having a pistol round which is more powerful than a tumbling AK-74 round. Damage wouldn't drop off much either because the bullet starts off slow and the slower it goes the less quickly it decelerates due to quadratic drag: fdrag = -cv^2 Of course they could simply buff all the rounds a bit to have it make more sense.

Suddenly and unexpectedly found myself unable to move, so decided I might as well make the best of things before the end came... made a 960 meter CZ550 shot, not bad, but not good either - no kill, too weak. That bandit did bleed though, I've rarely seen someone bleed that much and keep on going... (Hit on first shot, hard to see, Youtube reduced the quality slightly. Not sure if I hit on any other shots due to all the blood coming out of the bandit.)

I don't think it will encourage it since a Makarov is an anti-zombie weapon to me, I consider it next to useless for PvP. Honestly I'd rather have a hatchet than a Makarov, although depending on what they buff the damage to in the next patch (I'm hoping they keep it around 1600-1750, and 1911 around 2200-2300) that could change.

I actually have a CZ right now, chose it over a DMR "just because", I probably would have chosen it over an M24 as well because making long range shots feels more rewarding with the harder-to-use CZ. I'm so stoked about using it on someone.

Basic damage (hit value) is based on the bullet. For example: class B_9x18_Ball : BulletBase { hit = 4; 9x19 ammunition inherits most of the properties of 9x18 ammunition. including hit. class B_9x19_Ball : B_9x18_Ball { Therefore changing the Makarov bullet will change all the 9mm pistol and SMG ammunition (unless otherwise specified) and changing the 1911 bullet will change the Revolver ammunition as well. There are some differences, the "hit" value occurs at a certain velocity known as typicalSpeed. This is usually (but not always) the same as the muzzle velocity. For 9x18: typicalSpeed = 310; For 9x19: typicalSpeed = 398; Both pistols do 889 damage, but as you can see the Makarov does its 889 damage at a lower velocity than the 9mm does its 889 damage. Technically, this means the Makarov must fire a more powerful round - if the Makarov's muzzle velocity was increased to the same as the M9, the Makarov would do more damage... while in real life the Makarov fires a much less powerful round as necessitated by its blowback design.

Why the thread bump? Aiming is easy, I tend to use my mouse and place it where I intend to shoot... :)

Only happened to me once... I had an M24 and decided to team up with a guy who had a CZ. Then his unarmed buddy ran up to us as we prepared to snipe a few people... I gave his buddy the M1014 in my backpack, he asked if I had ammo and I dropped a couple mags for him, he loaded and immediately shot the 8 rounds into me. :| Lesson learned, I'm more careful now.

Something like so would be decent They'd have to get the eye relief and perspective right though, so it appears your eye is the correct distance away.

PrintScreen doesn't work for whatever reason. Steam has a built-in function, I use Bandicam.

Unless they're type AB, they'd get fever, chills, back pain and pink or red urine. Also as their immune system attacks the red blood cells in the donated blood, there would be a release of hemoglobin which could lead to kidney failure.

Bullpups I consider "okay" to include are the L85 series and the OTs-14. I don't know what Israeli weapons would plausibly be doing in Chernarus so I don't want to see them. I'm not a big fan of most bullpups, I find them extremely ugly... I would use Keith's quote "looks like a poisoned pup that has lain too long in the sun " but two "pups" in one sentence wouldn't quite work... .

I remember unlocking so many "cheats"... Chicken Head mode, 2D bodies, Paintball mode, etc... "cheats" used to be not only acceptable but encouraged. Of course they were of a different nature. :lol:

That's why I added the "when my life's not on the line" part, if I needed to definitely kill someone or was in a squad fight I would move to wherever I thought was most advantageous. When I'm just playing solo in DayZ and feel like sniping for no particular reason, I'll try to find the longest line of sight and shoot for fun. In that case don't care about the sure kills so much, you'd need to hit someone 3-4 times at long ranges anyways. -

I spent several hours combing the map yesterday and today, from Cherno to Elektro, Pusta to Staroye (ran into a geared-up group in Staroye), then to Gorka, Novy, etc, etc. Finally found one in Staroye ten minutes ago. By that time I'd found a DMR, but I want the CZ more so I'm giving the DMR and my bus away to some dude (found 7 mags for it before finding the rifle itself). Ugh, that is so boring... I pick the furthest possible spot (when my life's not on the line) because it's more fun. -

Can't watch the video right now but I'm obsessed with sniping at the moment, so I'll watch it later. I spent a couple hours (more) looking for a CZ550 and now my inventory is full of magazines, but no rifle. I want to run it at 1000+ meters. In this regard, it's a shame most servers have such limited view distance. :thumbsup: Oh, I found a couple wonderful spots on a mountain, 1,700m line of sight and totally secluded... if I had an AS50... -
I once had a guy fire at least 50 rounds at me and miss me every time. I've done the same on occasion though. :blush:

That featureless land didn't used to be useless space... there used to be some nice camps and stuff there. It still has its uses - I've stolen an entire base in Wasteland and placed it in the debug zone - BLUFOR was both puzzled and outraged. 1 "The base is gone!" 2 "What do you mean it's gone?" 1 "The depot, the ammo, the yellow Ural, someone took it..." 2 "Are the ammo boxes gone? 1 "Everything's gone!" 2 "FUCK"! I agree it would be nice to expand the map, it wouldn't necessarily have to be large towns either, I'd be totally happy with rolling hills, forests and small villages.

I like my axe, it doesn't need to be reloaded before use, either.
