Nope, not in standard form. Some people (even in the military) still propagate that though... More recently, instructors at Marine Corps Recruiting Depot Parris Island and at The Basic School were teaching that the .50 caliber machinegun could not be used against ground forces. Instructors at the U.S. Army Infantry School, apparently laboring under the same impression, resolved it by teaching that: "The .50 caliber machinegun can be used against enemy military equipment, but not personnel. So be sure to aim your .50 caliber machinegun at the enemy soldier's belt buckle." The explosive Mk 211 round is questionable... they even did studies to see if the round would explode inside an enemy or after it exited. :P

I think he's trying to say you can take out 64 zombies without reloading, good for PvE, bad for PvP. (Firing wet paper balls can be effective, I've been on the receiving end of a chewed-for-30-minutes-tennis-ball-sized one - it's absolutely disgusting)

I figured it was a "no PvP" server seeing as you got banned for fragging someone. You might want to just find another server... I'd take "spawn with AS50" over "no PvP".

I wouldn't. :P I shall compare different snipers sometime, unfortunately there is literally not a single difference between those two rifles though. The M40A3 is still better 'cos it matches your ghillie. :D

Ideally I want everything to feel "authentic"... if that means the back of someone's head exploding when I hit it with a 5.56, that's what I want.

D'aww. I also thought it would be worth noting the probability of seeing each of these guns in a loot spot (chance of gun x chance of loot). Haven't looked into loot mechanics much so I could be wrong... :P All normal military locations: AK-74: 6% AKS-74 Kobra: 3.2% AKS-74U: 2% Magazines: 4% Barracks: All 4% Magazines: 8% Sure, why not, I can obsess over this. I'll do AR-15 series next.

I've had this, it can be extremely annoying (like any death) but on the other hand, zombies aren't nearly dangerous enough, so it's a good thing. Just be more aware of them... I've always kinda wanted to see Muay Thai zombies. -
Seems like most people like the vanilla 74 better. stats say it's better too. Still, the 74U calls to me. Thing looks badass. I read they were going to reduce the recoil on the AK-74s, right now it uses AKM recoil, which is silly. I don't know when they plan to do it or if it's been cancelled due to ArmA 3 coming out and all their attention being focused on that... Don't think about it as making them more difficult to use, it's about improving the game. Adding wind drift is an improvement for both realism and fun. The only way it would be a "nerf" is if they only added drift (or other effects) for sniper rifles, but left assault rifles and other guns alone... I doubt that will happen, if snipers get drift, everything gets drift and that = improvement. -
