Yeah, I just spent a buttload of cash on my PC. Upgraded CPU, RAM and Graphic Card. It raised the FPS significantly. So if you want the game to go above 30 FPS. You may need to spend some cash. Yes, the game is very poorly optimized.

So, my good old UK130 just went offline. I'm now looking for another decent Main Hive server. I live in the EU so I'd like a server in that general area.

What kind of story are you going for? The Heroic savior, The Lone bandit, the regular joe. There are so many more, if you can find a path for your character the story will flow due to the greatness of the scenario that is "DayZ" Me personally, I would like to see him start as regular Joe -> have a good experience and become "Savior of the living" -> After having his spirit broken becomes a lone bandit. After that the story can go anywhere. Depends on how long and deep you want this to be. If you want some help with a project I'd be more than happy to help you.

I used to have a rather large camp back when Tents were much easier too find. I had about 4 of them. Picked a nice open spot in Black Forest (Mainly because of the awesome name) I then placed the tents in a nice circle. With a fireplace in the middle. It was wonderful to have a place within walking distance of Stary, it was easy to loot and fill the tents up quickly.

Trading away my M249 saw. I have about 150-200 rounds left. Looking for a decent backpack and M9SD ammo.

But, making things you need more rare. The game have to respond in the same way. If you wanna stealth, the game shouldn't make zombies randomly run at you and cripple your legs. Leaving you for dead. Only using melee weapons against the undead would be even more risky.

If people are discussing it's damage. You can fire the makarov 15 times before you'll bring another human down. Weapon damage is not realistic.
