Experiencing Frmaerate Drops

Specs:

Operating System

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

CPU

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+

RAM

4.00 GB Single-Channel DDR2 @ 301MHz (5-5-5-15)

Graphics

HP 2159 (1920x1080@59Hz)

1024MB GeForce 9800 GT (PNY)

Any help would be appreciated as to what I can do to run the game smoothly.

You're rigs fine, it may be the server lag, if they haven't restarted in a while.

Try switching servers.

It could also be the AMD processor. Arma doesn't like those.

Any way around this? Anything I could edit in game?

Also, ive been on multiple srvers; I still experience lag unfortunately.

This might help a bit: Go into steam, right on arma 2 oa. Click properties. Click set launch options. type in cpucount=# of cores. Go in game. Go to options, video options, advanced. Set VRAM to default, turn off post proccesing.

Tried that as well; I've looked over every optimization guide out there so far. That's why I've resorted to asking for help on the forums; done as much research as possible.
