MAP BOUNDARIES - No more stashing vehicles 400km away

Recommended Posts

I don't think I'm alone when I say that I don't want to have to walk for 4 hours off of the map to discover the location of someone's camp. It isn't fair or realistic that a clan can get all of the vehicles on a server, drive them north for a while, and make them nearly unattainable to the rest of the players on the server who are stuck on foot.

Some invisible walls would solve this problem.

Invisible walls are common in the zombie apocolypse.

Although I couldn't drive my bus over a bridge....

No to invisible walls, as they suck, but maybe logging off person or vehicle off the edge of the maps means when you log back in you're back at the closest edge of the map? Sooomething similar, idk, but a fix for this would be nice.

I agree with the no invisible walls. I say give them a 1 minute warning to leave and if they don't, kill them outright. Or, expand the map and put towns up there. Or delete items and vehicles passed the boundary threshold if left unattended for a half-hour. Or make the game on an Island Continent like New Zealand so you have natural borders.

If people want to have to walk four hours out to get to their gear when they die, I don't have a problem with letting them walk.

I don't see it as an exploit. I see it as putting your stuff in an extremely out-of-the-way place there aren't any towns near. It's not like you're storing them in the sky or under a lake, you're just leaving them somewhere most people don't care about.
