50 kills, 1 server, 1 life

Just passed my first milestone. The most kills Ive had on one life on one server, 50 xD. Thought Id celebrate by making a thread about it :P On this server Ive been alive for 25 days. I probably average about 1-2 hours in there each weekday, more on weekends. I stay mobile and start hitting high value areas North and then once it looks like Im not going to get any fights North I slowly head South. When I get South I kill for a while and eventually start running low on ammo so I had North again to gear up at military spawns again. Most of the time I have used an AKM although I use an M14 when I have one and the ammo. I also only carry one primary as duping is fixed on the server and it makes the survival components a little tight at times. Gearing up to kill is hard work! Most of the players in there are geared clans who have alot of vehicles vs me the lonewolf so it makes it very difficult to stay alive. I follow a very strict ruleset on this life. Never over-commit to a firefight. Always have an escape plan in a firefight. Always play tight and always wait for the other player to make the mistake. When identifying a number of players/clan don't retreat, fight them but keep the escape option...sometimes I will come away with 3 or so kills, other times I have to run for my life. Dont attempt to kill someone I can't loot and bury. And a heap of other stuff. All these rules make the game a bit boring at times, but they keep you alive.

Ive been considering doing a "survival challenge" for a while where I record myself as a fresh spawn, but keeping strict rules about what I can and can't do to keep illegitimate components of the game out of the equation (duping, hacked weapons etc). Ive haven't really seen anyone have a good run at this. The only one I can think of is Rhino Cruch who lasted like 3 hours before making it to stary sobor and getting killed in an ambush. After that he gave up and went back to his duped/hacked weapons from buddies, which was disappointing. I don't know if I will get around to it though.

Your in game Name isn't Tom Cruise is it that guys is always wrecking shop with an AKM on AU servers. He does all the tricks in the book from luring young vunerable spawns and turning on them to flat out running through town dropping anyone he sees. If this is you cheers

Sos I've been thinking of issuing a forum challenge, picking a random squard on the map and seeing how long I could last vs. all takers. Just haven't really had time to play for more then 30 to 60 minutes at a time lately. I'd ask the forums what load out they'd like me to have and just go! Really could be a blast for everyone who cared to join in. Plus give those i've pissed off a chance to make me eat crow. :P Just a suggestion

Haha i love this idea.. to keep things fair though there should be no thermals allowed, pure to basic hunting your target out using your own senses!

Yeah no doubt, although it would be hard to stop someone from using one. Only saving grace is I seem to be real lucky when under direct fire. snipers eat my lunch tho! I am a gunner in our squad so seems then snipers like to try and take me down. You know i'd be rocking a lmg as my primary. bangbangbangbangbangbangbang

For a time I was the 1/2 assed sniper of the group. We had a scout / sniper team join and i got to return to 1/2 assed gunner. The new guys are better then our entire group lol, good thing they enjoy random silliness instead of serious game play.

Haha, i think we have about 4designated scouts in our clan now... i prefer to hand the role over to smeone who has the patience to sit about and look at a treeline for ages!!

As serious as we are we have to have the random banter now and then, it stops us ripping each others throats out when something goes wrong

Well considering I lit up our chopper, killing the door gunner & wounding the pilot. I single handedly effed up the entire squad because i didn't pay attention to where i was positioned. All i knew was I asked if it was them landing to the south (which turned out to be my north) when they said "no" I went all Rambo on them. The new guys just rolled in TS, we got a big laugh out of it and as punishment i had to jump from the chopper without a parachute. The long walk back to camp allowed me the time to reflect on "knowing which direction I am facing and the value of using that thing called a compass"

ahhh the omni-present cock ups! iwill admit that sounds like a mad happening you got yourself involved in... can't say i have ever been in anything as bad as that.... i once drifted the pickup i was driving into the side of a GAZ the other clan members were driving. I proceeded to ram them off the edge and destroying the car, no one died luckily enough and i stepped out the pickup allowing them to drive on, i prefer trecking by foot sometimes, much more interesting!!

lol nah couldn't be me. I literally will not go into Cherno and Elektro. I will scout if from range, but never get within less than about 500-600m of the outskirts of it.

I never look to kill fresh spawns. From time to time I do observe Cherno/Elektro from range with binos/range finders and if I can I will cut off their exit from the city. But this usually doesn't last long because you quickly run out of ammo, especially when Im packing an M14 its not often I find players around Cherno/Elektro who have DMR mags. Even the AKM mags slowly run out. Its a bit harder to kill with the AKM and I often have to apply suppressive fire to lock down a player so I can get into my preferred ranges.

I like running the old cherno police, its always fun as hell, help the new spawns out and take care of bandits running about, always get a good group together after a few hours, although like your self, its a case of run back up north to resupply then head back in to the action.

Although for me, i take the long route and try to find as many people as I can, its always awesome when you run into a group of people, and just make em crap them selfs by chucking out smoke grenades and frags.

Ive only got one kill on that server on that hill (assuming we talking about elektro). My gamestyle doesn't allow me to get many kills up there. Because I use an AKM or M14 I'm not really getting kills outside 500m and I aim to have most of my fights within the 100m-300m range. Lower than 100m is dangerous because damage can take time to register so even though you kill someone they may end up killing you after the fact as well. 300m is nice but outside this range I have to aim off alot and I play on servers with an average ping of ~220ms and I play on lowest settings. If you take a look at that hill, the closest places I am willing to go on there, the firehouse on its own is 450m away. The supermarket and school are around 650m. So no, I don't get many kill up there. Only one I got up there was when someone came after me. I do observe up there alot. Part of my tactic is to observe major towns and cut off players who are exiting the town. The strong thing abou this is you can often do it as an ambush where you are at rest and they are breathing heavily from running out of town so your aim is going to be better.

Ive had more kills over near the barn a few hundred metres north of Elektro. In there I can get into the ranges I want and cut people off. Also I had a really good experience there recently where there ended up being a massive gun fight between what looked like two clans. I turn up late and there is only one person alive who was looting around 10 bodies, so I killed them, looted the bodies, buried them and then camped that area and caught one coming from fresh spawn who wanted to pick up the gear there :P On this server though, Ive had more kills at berezino. Possibly because alot of them are clans with alot of vehicles.
