dmitriyv@comcast.net 0 Posted October 12, 2012 Can you guys put in a feature that it takes 20 - 30 seconds to log off OR if someone ALT F4s out the character will stay in for 30 seconds still, This will fix combat logging
fatherjohn 143 Posted October 12, 2012 maybe they'll attempt something like that in the standalone, but it won't happen on this free version.

Bombolz (DayZ) 23 Posted October 12, 2012 I think a 10 second log off delay is enough, whereas if you were in combat recently (within the pass 5 minutes) 30 seconds should do. Combat detector? - If you fired a shot, or a shot hit you or landed near you or pass you or just if another person fired a shot within a certain area. Maybe something like 0-100m for pistols, 0-350 for assault rifles - you'know either one could work, or both at once would be better. But yeh, your character is also immobile while in the delay (this delay CAN be cancelled - or it should be able to)
