Petition to remove Krutory Cap spawn

Reasoning:

1) There is nothing useful that can be done close to here, unless you have your tent(s) nearby

3) It's already a huge set back to be killed and lose everything...being stuck in the corner of the map adds insult to injury

3) DayZ gameplay is already relatively slow paced, spawning almost 15 minutes from the nearest [meaningless] town can make the game a painful experience

4) There is no way to suicide for another spawn without running a far distance

5. Add spawn near NWAF cuz some crybabies cannot into hardcore.

Fall off, break legs and don't die, go unconscious for a long time..... Annoying either way, running to a city or 2 very spaced jumps off a lighthouse.

The same could be said about Kamenka, Komarovo, Kamyshovo etc.

Oh noes, you lost everything, boo fu**ing hoo. One major fun thing in this game is going around collecting stuff, it's even more fun when you don't have anything good yet. Who knows what you will find this time... After 1 comes 2 btw.

So running around for 15 minutes with gear is acceptable but without is a painful experience. Alrighty.

Fall off the lighthouse, go slightly NW and get eaten by zombies, it's really not that far.

I vote that Chernarus should be like DayZ Takistan and occasionally spawn you outside the map with no landmarks and no frame of reference.

Seriously though, nothing to do at Krutoy? I'll agree it's not ideal, but it's within walking distance of 3 vehicle spawns (one of them the heli) a medium density industrial district (Solnichniy), three deer stands and a smattering of decent residentials. If you can't survive and get geared up there you're not a Survivor, you're a Deathmatcher.

But I already knew that when you mentioned suiciding to spawn scum.

Ok this clearly went over your head. :s

The point is 90% of your time in this game is ALREADY spent running between places like Elektro, Cherno, Stary Sobor, and Airfields. Adding another step before you can even get to one of those is redundant. If I wanted to run I would do it outside, maybe you prefer it in front of a screen... who knows.

So running around for 15 minutes with gear is acceptable but without is a painful experience. Alrighty.

Most of this time you have a weapon to defend yourself, and it is at least mildly exciting because you are alert to the fact that you could encounter someone en route. The closest place to find 'average' stuff is in Elektro, and is about a 20 minute run to get there. If you are playing on a decent populated private hive server like I am, there is a good chance you will be shot before you find a satisfactory defense weapon. Evading bandits to find loot is a "survival skill," having a 20 minute digitally simulated cardio workout is not.

Adding another step? Finding a weapon and gear outside those main loot areas is adding another step? Really? I don't even bother with those areas until I'm fully geared up. I can easily do that at deer stands, remote barns and heli crashes. That is why I prefer to be spawned outside the popular spots. Gee, people, get creative in your survival.

So if you despise running so much, why play DayZ? I mean you even admit 90% of the game is running around. So does that mean to you, running around fully geared up is somehow different to running around freshly spawned? Also are you saying that you are only alert when you have a weapon? Sure sounds like it.

I think your problem isn't where you spawn, it's that you seem to think the only "average" (does that mean good?) stuff is in the popular areas.

And your last sentence makes absolutely no sense. Do you not evade bandits by running? Do you just stop and look around and try to shoot them first? I'm really trying to make sense of it but with so much flawless logic it will be quite difficult.

Add a small town and a pier to Krutoy Cap to make the area generally more interesting/useful and also a good spawn point for new players, done.

I hadn't thought of that, a walled CDF/police barracks with five or six spawning barracks would certainly liven the coast up a bit.

I actually like that one, everytime I spawn there I just head north to berenzino, less people there. If anything they should remove the elktro/cherno it's just a slaughter fest anyway. If all spawns equally suck, there would be less killing yourself to get to that good spawn point.

In the Standalone there should be three spawns, Kamenka Wilderness, Krutoy and Guba Inlet.

The sad part, is in the time it takes someone to run to a lighthouse climb a ladder and jump to his prolonged death, and then wait some more for the server to load and spawn them in again, they could have ran to elecktro. But, I don't care, because I know they might spawn somewhere like Kamenka and have to start the whole process over. It just means more free bandages & painkillers laying around for the rest of us!
