Community Ban List (No proof/logs)

Hi, my guid is on this website (from the forum that is pinned called "community ban list") http://code.google.com/p/dayz-community-banlist/source/browse/bans/bans.txt

I can't find the report on the website, so i cant see the proof they have against me, i've never hacked or cheated in anyway.

I've made two ban appeals and no reply, i made one about 2-3 months ago and one today. This is very frustrating because i can only play on a handful of servers. I dont know what else to do, if someone can help me that would be great. Thanks

What's your guid? I can help you look and see if there are any ban request against it.

You can always appeal to the admins of the servers you play on. They can pull your GUID out of the bans.txt file on thier server.

But they may not do so. Some servers auto update from the CBL list, some are updated by hand from the current list.

You could just see of the admins of the server you want to play on will go out of their way to remove it by hand on that specific server until you get it taken care of.

Sorry allan i would rather not give that out, i dont know what you could do with it and gemini i've tried that before and they just flat out said no. Also i would like to play on more than just one server.

GUID's aren't private information, anyone can see it that's in the same server as you by typing "#beclient players" in chat.

Usually when you get W 4d9b2182 0x0f44d938 of that nature it means you're grandfathered in on the CBL. I couldn't find an exact reason why you are banned but hopefully one of the team replies back to one of your ban appeals on the CBL.

What does it mean to be grandfathered in, like did an admin put me on there from rage?

I'm not for sure but I believe that grandfathered into the banlist means that you were banned for some reason long ago, and when they made the banlist your name was just thrown in with the rest of the names on that admin's banlist. So you were probably banned ages ago and your name was accidently left in the banlist.

Yes, grandfathered-in bans are always removed upon request.

I'm afraid that the CBL has been very, very quiet the last month or so. It's only dwarden who regularly updates his own banlist and the amount of open CBL issues is staggering to say the least. I'd remove your GUID from my list for the time being, but I doubt you want to play on some European server. ;)

No one has replied to either of them yet, i also emailed dwarden about it but he still hasnt responded. :/
