Shutting down a server when not online

Recommended Posts

I recently bought a server and have no realised how time consuming it can be to make sure everything is running smoothly. Are you allowed to shut down the server for periods of time? I only have a small group of regulars joining and most of them play at the same time as when I'm at home. Pretty much every night I've had hackers join, with one even teleporting all the vehicles to Cherno. It's really difficult for me to monitor 24/7, so would it be possible to just shut down the server for half the day each day? I've checked the rules and havn't been able to find anything regarding this situation.

If it's a private hive, you can do whatever-the-hell you like with it.

If it's connected to the DayZ hive, you're not allowed to shut it down besides when you really have to.

Also, I'm not a server host, but you should look up some remote consoles (or RCON), to monitor your server and its logs.
