Non-steam version with dayZ

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

I got a Arma 2 version from a digital download website. Can i just purchase Arma 2 Operation arrowhead on steam and then combine my non steam version with the Steam Arma Operation arrowhead?. Or should i buy the arma 2 operation arrowhead from a digital download website. then combine those 2 and then get DayZ?

Im asking, since i dont wanna waste money on something that aint gonna work :P

Well, I bought Arma II: CO on the BIStore, wich is the same as Arma II + OA, except you get a "bundle discount". And mine works like a charm. I don't know if Steam + Digital works, but I think having 2 digital copies would be much easier to combine. All I had to do was: Download, Install Arma II, Install OA, and after OA was finished I think it said "Arma II copy detected. Do you want to combine the folders?". I may be wrong though...

I would recommend having both digital as they would work together better (I think :)).

Can you register Your arma 2 through steam as a "non steam" game? Then You could get OA through steam or the other site whatever you prefer.
