ventzer0 3 Posted October 7, 2012 hi, so the huey crashed due to a bug, game ejected the pilot in midflight for some unknown reason. the pilot got banned because of BIS_effects shit (I thought I removed that, .. scumbag ftp CHMOD). Anyways I shutdown the server to delete him from the logfiles and unban him - we were only 4 ppl on the server all working together so restarting wasnt a problem. Restarted the server and huey was gone, no huey at all, not even a wreck!Now I finally figured out what happend to it. Somehow the server must have saved its location during midflight and now every time the server restarts, the Huey drops from like 10-30meters down on the ground and explodes without leaving a wreck. So theres no chance to save it or anything.Is there ANYTHING I can do to having the Huey back on the server?I already requested a server restart.FYI all these rumors about leaving a server offline for around 48hrs to 120hrs will reset them are false. tried it, didnt work. I guess the Huey will be stuck there until a server reset, at least that whats the support is telling me. rjack85 55 Posted October 7, 2012 Others have had this same issue. I had it on my server. I was never able to get the chopper back. It crashes on restart every time. There is NO 7 day timer on this sort of bug. You will never be able to use it again without a database wipe of the hive files.Some people have been able to correct the issue by finding the crash site and parking a couple of buses under where it falls to the ground, thereby cushioning the drop and then saving the helicopter. Might work for you, it might not. You can find the location by looking at the UID in the armareport file. The UID is the coordinates of the incident as one long number.
