Box lure?

I was outside Cherno and someone came up behind me and asked if I was an admin on the server. Once I said no, he said he was feeling generous and wanted to give me something. He laid a box down on the ground (I didn't know he could do that?) and said it was all mine for 2 minutes. He was really determined that I get whatever was in that box. I pretended I couldn't do anything, and the walked a distance, and then shot at him and he ran away and i disconnected. What was that? An attempt to ban me for having hacked items? A truly generous gesture?

Also, he had a turban thing on his head, like the old bandits skin

Alrighty, Thanks everyone. I just figured that it was possible I could get banned for losing it, so I just stayed away from it, but next time I know! lol
