This happened to me. Sounds like your "target" line of your shortcut is fucked up, have a look if it's like it's supposed to be

"-mod=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead;Expansion;ca;Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" -world=Chernarus

This? This is what I have..

Can I get some more help please?

This here is what I have for the Parameters.. I dont know what the target line is.

"-mod=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead;Expansion;ca;Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" -nosplash -world=Chernarus

Alright so I see you're running a x64 OS - as I thought. Try this one:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead;Expansion;ca;Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@dayz -nosplash

Just copy and paste this into your shortcut parameters line. Tell me if it works now :)

I'm still getting this error msg even after using all suggested launch options. I havn't played in a couple of days. I havn't changed anything. Did an update come through and I not realize it, in the last week or so?

Steam?

1. Exit Steam completely.

2. Right-click on Steam icon.

3. Left-click on "Run As Administrator".

4. Run ArmA 2.

5. Run Operation Arrowhead.

6. Now try to run Combined Operations again.

If that doesn't work, please re-install Steam:

1. Go to Steam's installation folder.

2. Delete everything there except "steam.exe" and "steamapps" folder.

3. Run "steam.exe" - Steam will reinstall itself automatically.

4. Continue from step 1 of the previous how-to.

Good luck.

Mag.

Download "Six Launcher". It makes everything work. It keeps the mod updated. It updates you to the beta version that the server you want to play on. I am not sure if this is supported by the DayZ guys so I won't place a link, but a quick Bing search will find it. (or you could use Google, if you're in to that sort of thing).
