Damn hackers, every time

I can't stand dying to these faggots repeatedly anymore. i can't recall the last time a legit bandit shot me. It seems that nothing is being done about this and i have no tolerance for such things. Something is going to change soon or i'm just going to have to shut down any server with admins ignorant enough to allow hackers to act within it.

Standalone sometime, until then low pop servers are your best bet.

We get it; really. Everyone knows that hackers are a problem on main hive. For now, you're going to need to play on either low pop servers or private hives to avoid the buggers.

Or you could rage-quit till standalone. Rocket and the devs are too busy trying to push the damn thing out by new-years to be bothered with fixing the mod.

Nothing at all can be done while this game is being run on the arma engine. That's a fact so either quit playing or play on a low pop server.

They have a good reason though, I'd rather play with a few hackers now and then while they work on standalone, so when I die i know standalone is in dev and no hackers will be there, and weapon frequency will be fixed so there isn't 3x AS50's then Makarov's.

I'm not saying that the stand alone focus is a bad thing, quite the contrary.

It's good that the devs are making the effort, but people really need to stop the "Hacker hacker hacker" threads.... cause' they are kinda pointless.

I'm not saying that the stand alone focus is a bad thing, quite the contrary.

It's good that the devs are making the effort, but people really need to stop the "Hacker hacker hacker" threads.... cause' they are kinda pointless.

If you think once the stand alone is released hackers will seize to exist you my friend are brain dead. Every game ever made has been hacked. I'll give them 24 hours to hack the stand alone and that's probably a conservative estimate..

But because the standalone is now a on-market game, they will be focusing much more on it, which means much less hackers.

I never said that they will seize, but pushing out script enforcers / anti-hack codes will be much easier and will come much quicker than the Mod. (In which they never came at all.) Arma 2's engine is very trusting and easy to hack by nature.

BattlEye is broken in more ways than one, if DayZ uses BattlEye, hackers/scripters can crack it.

Agreed, The hackers will be less but still exist. The comment I was referring to was more of the "The game will be hack free" which is false. I hate those dicks as much as anyone but I'm also smart enough to understand they aren't going anywhere.

If DayZ standalone uses something better than BattlEye, 50% of hackers will be gone. I feel sorry sometimes realizing how many great servers get hacked.

Battleye isn't the problem the game engine design is. It has more holes then battleye could possibly hope to stop much less slow down.

BattlEye is not the problem, yes, but even with the basic "block Server Controls" idea, you can easily find a loophole around BattlEye. (Not making a big comparison but...) Even Valve AntiCheat can block almost all hackers from servers. Other than those certain few.

you could always rent your own sever and have your freinds admin it or find a sever that has admin whating so they will get banned from sever

with open simple coding and recieve everything they want...
